    You’ve done it again! I can’t get enough of how you repair damages and imperfections, even small ones, with all your different methods. I was hoping if you’d make a video, when you have time, walking us through your spray equipment. For some reason I’ve always used wiping stains, conditioners and polyurethane, which obviously limits so much that can be done to the piece, not to mention how time consuming it can be. I’ve located a Mohawk dealer close to me, but I can’t get a straight forward answer on what spray equipment to use, and the internet is full of opposing views on what’s better to use, especially for someone like myself whose very accustomed to wiping and. It spraying.
    Thank you for the videos and all the information. Take care and God bless.

      There are a lot of spray videos on TH-cam. I watched most of them as I was learning. What enabled me to assimilate the information was practice. Lots of it. I used to buy and sell a lot of lower end furniture and that's where I cut my teeth on spraying. I use a DeVilbis Finish Line gun (not sure it's the best, but it's the one I have and it works great for me). I have a large Quincy Air Compressor, but I started with an old Craftsman Oil-less compressor with a 20 gallon tank. There's really no secrets that I see, just a base of knowledge and practice should get you where you want to go. Thanks for watching!

    Little tip, would have been better not staining the wood before sealing, the stain makes the imperfections stand out more like the dent you steamed out, seal get your colour using colour from a spray gun to match it all out.

    • @LostMountainRestoration
      @LostMountainRestoration  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I don't have to color match and I have a long way to go, I'll use a wiping stain as I did here. If I have an issue with using that technique, then I spray a toner or use glaze over sealed wood. Thanks for watching.

      @@LostMountainRestoration was this the original colour of the set, certainly seems to me that way... if i figured it out right, your client lightened the whole set in the 70ies or so? Such a shame, it was meant to be dark, imho... Very nice restoration, keep 'em coming :)

    Can you change one laminate furniture color from walnut to espresso?

    • @LostMountainRestoration
      @LostMountainRestoration  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean. Laminate is normally a kind of plastic, so you would have to go over it with some kind of opaque color that would adhere to it before top coating. Wooden furniture is easier to darken as the stain or dye is designed to either penetrate or adhere in some fashion to the wood. Thanks for watching!
