The ATR based stop loss was just super, prior to learning this from you I had no idea how volatility should be factored in from getting stopped out too early by the market. Am only looking for trades on double tops & bottoms currently in BANKNIFTY by drawing major supports & resistances from the 1 day & 1hr chart, and then my action chart with CEST in place is it's 15 min timeframe chart. Is it a good thing to do - trade on a 15 min chart basis the 1 hr chart?

You are such a great teacher, very blunt and precise. I love your way of teaching, no mocking around. I'm a total beginner and went on trading last month with a broker that took advantage of my lack of knowledge. Although in the first 3 weeks of trading I managed to make a profit of US$10k at the end of 2022. And then the manager encouraged me to trade on Oil and he pointed me into the wrong direction and did not put a stop loss (I just learned this from you) on the position, it wiped out my entire balance. I trade (try to trade) SnD but I like to revisit other strategies to understand the market better. It's interesting how SnD is so similar to support and resistance, and how SnR is quite good at finding the extreme mitigation zones that are the highest probability for SnD reversal entries. Even the "double top" is similar to the BOS and return to origin of SnD.... Thanks for a simple and clear video with risk management and (gasp) an example of a losing trade. P.S. I remember how you called the Bitcoin top at 55k last year. Will forever respect you for that.

"Finding a strategy that works 90% of the time... is possible, but you're gonna do so with a very skewed reward to risk ratio" as a rookie trader, I've actually done that, and you're right, it obviously doesn't work in the long run. After a couple of big losses when I started, it affected me so much psychologically, that I was basically "playing not to lose". So trading with a highly skewed ratio, I actually racked up a string of winning trades (18 to be exact) and my noob mind was very happy... until I had a big loss, wiping out almost all my gains. Taught me a lesson I'll never forget, haha 😂

in 33:00, The candle did not above for sure, but my strategy in that case is always let it play and wait for a better entry. When you look at the chart you can see that there was no clear pattern that shows a real downtrend or an uptrend. when you enter the market in this kind of pattern you have more chance to loose than win.
The Risk Management segment of your video was worth listening to. With me being a new trader with limited funds I see and understand the importance of "what am I willing to lose". Backtesting and choosing a strategy is still something I don't know anything about but I hope to learn.

imo support and resistance areas are one of the most potent factors any trader has and CAN most definitely rely on them BUT Support and Resistance areas should not be the ONLY sources of your trading decision one should also have at least 1 or 2 more factors to obtain a decent confluence of factors before trading, personally i trade on the 15 min chart and i rely support and resistance lines to show me the AREAS of possible entry but i look mainly for divergence/convergences on the stochastic RSI, before i enter in order to have a very potent entry. hope u all make tons of money.

At 32:10 it looks like you have an inverse head and shoulders, signaling a trend reversal. Next move would be to look for a break of resistance and take the throwback.
Support and Resistance comes down to patience. Alot of people get caught in the noise to either level! Use higher time frames for higher probability and lower time frames for entry's. All the best🎯

Hello Steven. I have very recently started my forex journey and your videos are a great help. You deserve every bit of recognition you have recipt. I was curious on your thoughts on trailing stop operations? I'm trying to see if I can implement into a strategy but I don't if I understand trailing stop well enough
support and resistance is very powerful. especially if you trade Tokyo session. Just make sure you get confirmation that it has reversed when it hits. Every support or resistance will eventually get broken. the more hits.. .the more likely. and usually in the direction of the longer period trend unless of course news drives it the other way. Basically. if you see a long period sell... and the market is now kind of stuck between point A and B.... Sell at point A as often as possible .... but i would not advise buying at point B. True... the market might go against you... unlikely and probably not very far unless a news item has come up to cause this... Basically... if a currency pair has a news item coming that day. during the session you are in right now. I would not advise trading it.

Regardless of what some may think. Support and resistance will never die. Price acts as magnets in key areas of interest. Check any chart and it happens.
Would you be able to do a short video on some of your back testing techniques? or do you just grind it out on one ticker or forex pair? Saw that you mentioned back testing different times at the same time. I'm sure anything you put out will be useful like your other material. support and resistance is very powerful. especially if you trade Tokyo session. Just make sure you get confirmation that it has reversed when it hits. Every support or resistance will eventually get broken. the more hits.. .the more likely. and usually in the direction of the longer period trend unless of course news drives it the other way. Basically. if you see a long period sell... and the market is now kind of stuck between point A and B.... Sell at point A as often as possible .... but i would not advise buying at point B. True... the market might go against you... unlikely and probably not very far unless a news item has come up to cause this... Basically... if a currency pair has a news item coming that day. during the session you are in right now. I would not advise trading it.

Saw that you mentioned back testing different times at the same time. I'm sure anything you put out will be useful like your other material.
