- I apologize for my last video with all the ads. I had a brain fart when editing and forgot to get rid of all of those ads. I know they are annoying. Finally got out to Yankee for the first time in months. $1 wax melts/votives and sales on scenterpiece cups, gel tins, car jars, etc. Wanted to check out their new candles and picked up a yummy scent.
Great Haul. I have always enjoyed Yankee scents. I really like Dried Lavender & Oak. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing.😁

Love a Yankee haul esp as in Northern Ireland our stores are still on closed on lockdown so loving seeing these! I love surprise snowfall - I burned through an entire classic jar of it this winter! I like the ambience of votives too! Wish we could still get Life's a Breeze over here - thankfully I have a stash of the old style wax melts! Some great wax melt choices!

Just a trick when smelling through the hole In the packaging. Give the little feet tabs a squeeze, with you thumb in your hand and it moves the air in and out.

Nice haul. Chocolate Layer Cake is my favourite Yankee candle. Might have to hit the mall tomorrow. Hopefully the sale is still on. Glad they got rid of the old wax tarts. They were a nightmare to open and then crumbled all over the place.
Chocolate Layer Cake is so strong and yummy! I think the sale is on till Sunday. I hated opening the old wax melt packages. Such a pain and a mess.
I want to try Lemon Lavender and White Strawberry Bellini. Like you, I love Warm Luxe Cashmere. Love your haul!

Surprise Snowfall smells great! I have burned Wild Orchid in a small jar and it smelled amazing. Have you burned American Home or Home Inspiration Yankee candles yet? They have a lighter throw. I'm burning American Home by Yankee Candle's Mandarin Orange and Woodwick's Black Amber & Citrus which smells like Leather.
I believe a few years ago I burned Home Inspiration but it was awhile ago so can't quite remember what I thought of them. Black Amber & Citrus sounds great - I do like leather scents.
@@heidiu2scrap I found that one at Marshall's randomly. Stay away from their Snowy Pine and Blue Lavender scents. They are nasty. Of course, Yankee has a Leather scent and a car freshener to go with it.

Super haul! I am anxious to try the wax melt singles! They sound great! I have the melt cup in that Cliffside Sunrise and I like it. I have a few of the new tumblers coming. I’m anxious to see if they throw. TFS Doll!

You should try the pink cherry and vanilla and the black tea and lemon signature candle. The throw is so good on them! I think you’d like those scents as well.

Hi Heidi How is Abby doing? Hope her paw is healing well. I have not tried the new wax melts but probably will. I did purchase the new Yankee battery operated diffuser with a cartridge that's supposed to last 30 days. So far, it has good throw and can run for 5 hours and has a light, perfect for the bedroom. Have not tried the new candles but I do like the new jar.
OK went to wound center yesterday and man did he dig and today I am in awful pain so it's going to be a day of rest cause nothing helps the pain. Anywhoo. be safe, take care of Abby and hugs to Millie too. xoxoxo
Abby is healing very well! She doesn't have to keep the dressing on but has to wear a plastic booty when out. She feels wonderful and is just ticked off she can't go for her hikes. So sorry you have so much pain. Hope that settles quickly. I've heard other people have fairly good luck with the melts so they are worth a try, especially when they are $1, Hugs to you and the boys!

Curious what you do with the glass lids? Seems like such a waste? Once I remove it, I have no need for it.
Once I'm done burning the candle and there is wax left, I replace the lid so the scent doesn't escape. Also if I store the candle it keeps the dust off of the wax. When the candle is empty, I recycle the jar and lid.
This might sound like a silly question but how do the illumalid fit on the new design jars?
At first I was anti- new lid because I enjoy the look of the bell jar type design. But I am all about the throw.
Hi! The illumalids don't fit on the new tumbler style. I'm not sure if they fit on the new jar style which look a lot like the tumblers but just with a smaller opening so they may fit on the jar style. I do know they don't suggest using an illumalid on a 2 wick as it will get way too hot. Hope that helps!

They are much nicer than the old wax melts which were hard to open and crumbly and messy!

Those are the new tumblers, not the new jars. The new jars look different to that. At the moment only the tumblers are on the website. The new two wick jars are still coming. Anyway, nice haul. Enjoy.
Hello! Yes, I did see the new jars in store. They did look very similar to the tumblers but with a clear lid and a narrowing at the top. I guess I should have been more specific. I don't imagine their will be much difference in performance with both having 2 wicks. Thanks for watching and be well!

Hi Christina! I have heard other people say they have had good luck with the throws on the candles. I put the cotton scent in a bulb warmer and it probably lasted 24 hours. I just put Life's a Breeze in the powder room and it has lasted 8 hours so far and that's with 1/2 a cube. It's starting to fade a fair bit after 8 hours but I could be a bit nose blind to it.
Great haul. I keep hearing all over social media that Yankee is closing their stores when their leases are up. Do you happen to know when your London store's lease is up? I am actually panicking because I love the new jars they have come out with. Just wondering if you have heard anything from your store.
Oh man, I hadn't heard that. I hate ordering online from the states because of the shipping and duties can add about $50 on to an order. I will definitely miss the store if it closes. I don't know if the employees would say anything if asked. Maybe they are told to keep quiet about it. I hope they give us some warning if it happens so I can stock up.
@@heidiu2scrap It could be 3 years from now and therefore I don't need to panic yet. It could be this year. How do we find out? I believe leases are 5 years long. I need to plan my stocking up.
@@scentjunkie224 I think my Yankee opened about 3 or 4 years ago, I just have to look up again when it opened. Definitely will have to stock up!

Those wax melts are such a waste of plastic. The old yankee had zero packaging waste with the tarts. I think it’s shameful to stomp on Mother Earth’s face like that
I agree! Don't know why they made them so bulky. It was unnecessary. The old packaging had plastic also but I recycle absolutely everything. I wish they just made clamshells like they do when they sell in other stores. Thanks for watching!
