    So did you use Wago’s & then just seal them with silicone?

    What did you use to connect the lights to supply i.e wagos,gel box etc... Thanks 👍

      I've used Wagos this year as I had an ants nest in one of the chambers which caused excess moisture (prior to that I'd just used loads of electrical tape).
      The Wagos are larger, but they do just about fit fortunately.
      Also used a sealant where the lamp meets the patio.

    Wait, what???? U ran wire individually to each light????? Why not jst daisy chain it? Parallel????

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Couple of reasons....
      1) I had excess NYY-High-tuff cable, so cost wasnt an issue and it's generally inexpensive.
      2) The apeture for service is small (even with 1 cable), so daisy-chain would mean 2 connections per light
      Sure there were better ways to deploy, but this method worked a charm. Thanks for the question certainly SealaxLife

    The amount of wires is unnecessary. You can parrell from light bulb to another bulb.

    Should the cabling be swa

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you asking me or telling me? I guess you COULD use SWA, I think with this tecnique it'd be very difficult to terminate with full SWA on the flex and such a small apeture to work with. On this setup, I had SWA into my box which was adjacent to the patio, and then I used NYY High-Tuff which is strong, but much easier to work with. Hope that helps.

    Where. Can I find these lights?

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325  ปีที่แล้ว

      www.aewelectrical.com/products.html
      This is where I got them from. They're a trade shop, so might not sell direct to consumer.
      The lights are made by Kensington, so maybe look at who stocks them.
      Alternatively, Screwfix or similar UK trade outfit should supply.

    I’m looking at buying 8 of these… How are these lights still performing…? Any issues with them or need to replace any of them…?

    • @georgekenny4325
      @georgekenny4325  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. 5 of the lights got flooded with water during last years heavy rain. I wouldnt expect them to have flooded, but the actual casing leaked water into the unit. I took them to the supplier and they replaced FOC, but I am concerned come this year if the replacements do the same. So far, they've been good - so it might have a faulty batch. Have a look around, and get a gurantee from your vendor, maybe a trade counter.
