It is, especially when they're sat at a covered platform! So far these are the one type of train that my camera can't do justice sound-wise, there's a lot more bass to them in real life.
@@ThingsWithEngines Definately, when TPE got some Class 68 I bused it to Liverpool Lime Street station, before asking to go through the barriers I asked one of the ticket guys is that one of the new Nova 3 in. he replied with "Sounds like it" The resonation under that curved canopy when the loco is deep in the station as opposed to been at the end of the platform was aweseome.

They are a great sounding loco, but the only thing that confuses me when i hear them is their EMU like traction motors.
You gotta love the 68s!
