I play the Taiko no Tatsujin game and I didn't see an option to turn it off, but yet again I never really took a good look at the settings.

there's an option to choose an instrument as the hitsound, where you can also choose none.

theres an option to turn it off by selecting options before you play, set the instrument to silent.

No, in Don-chan Band you cant, in Taiko Mode however you can
