    I don't know if I'm wrong, I'm in search of this car, but to me the stock M3 sounds great compared to the ones with akropovic system

      @@adrianweglarz4299 Does it burble and sound unrefined? Everybody seems to associate good sounding engine with fart noises

      @@MrSilus2000 no it doesn’t really burble because the factory one before the mod has a little backfire and it will be the same afterwards. It’s a bit louder and clear at the same time. Look up the videos. You either can do 2 pipe mod or 4 pipe mod. The most cost efficient setup at the same time

    Looking to own one of the in a few years. What’s your maintenance costs per year roughly. I only have found that if before 2011 change stock rod bearings out. Haven’t seen any speak about just the basics

    • @exoticm3
      @exoticm3  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Considering your oil changes and how much you drive it can all very. I daily this car even in the winters of Michigan, so I was required to by new tires instead of the summer tires that came on the vehicle. I honestly only changed my oil after 1 year so far of owning this M3. Not much maintenance due to the great condition this car was in previously. You’ll be looking at a few things to consider for maintenance. These are the basic things you’ll want to keep in mind for the longevity of your M3, you can exclude winter tires depending on your state.
      Oil change- $120
      Winter tires- $1,100
      Rod bearings including labor- 2.5k
      Throttle actuators including labor- 2k
      That’s about it as far as maintenance goes. My vehicle is a 2013 so my rod bearings are much more reliable than pre 2011 models.

      @@exoticm3 yep those are the big two I've seen about whats the time and mileage intervals for the throttle actuators? these are the things i never see when looking at cars and car reviews much. where id be at a high performance all season would work. oil changes i figured would be in the 120 to 150 ballpark from previous experiences in auto industry but i dealt with toyotas mostly so BMW is an unfamiliar area. Appreciate the knowledge given. love that car so much man its a killer

    • @exoticm3
      @exoticm3  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@deadshot4245 Throttle actuators will go inevitably at about 80k miles on average. The tires I run are Continental DWS06, amazing tire to run. You’ll want to replace your bushings for your suspension if you plan to increase your power output; a bit off topic but good to know. If you have more questions specifically that the forums haven’t answered I’ll be glad to help out.

      @@exoticm3 awesome man looking to stay stock side if anything nice exhaust. if i was gonna mod a car id chose the e46 because i was a kid in 2005 and everyone loves a widebody m3 gtr look lol. i just miss my v8 i ran camaros and corvettes mostly. had a 2013 zl1 that was flawless but needed something different at the time somehow that landed me into an toyota 86 which was great if you didnt step from 580hp to 205. after that i found a nice c6 ls2 vette and ran the piss out of that thing across the us and back twice. got into wrx's for a bit then sold that and got into motorcycle now im sitting back and looking at going back to home but with a different v8. i also owned a 1970 camaro split bumper for a bit too. was the coolest car ive owned.

    • @exoticm3
      @exoticm3  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@deadshot4245 loved the e46 wide body kit. Definitely a big hp difference 😂. I always wanted a zo6 c6 vette, I love the aggressive cam setup. WRX’s are kinda boring unless you dump a load of money into them and still a m3 stock can walk em. The 1970 Camaro is a classic for sure, loves the design of that car and the simplicity of it. If you decide to do anything to your m3, start off with test pipes which remove the primary cats, then see if you want more noise or power, which I’m sure you’d like coming from a vette lol.
