Thanks, Sean. So far the whole lecture is not recorded and available, but I will definitely consider which Schubert piece to cover here next. Do you have a favorite?
Unfortunately, no. It's a presentation for piano teachers which I am happy to give to associations and groups. More info here: www.jannawilliamson.com/teacher-presentations
Thank you very much for this video. I have a few intermediate video requests: Allegro Op. 20 #1 by Kuhlau "P":Poissarde by Sophie-Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatte Gigue in G Op. 2 No. 11 by Elisabetta de Gambarini Sutherland's Law Theme by Hamish MacCunn These are all in the LCM grade 5 2021-2024 book.
Hello Faith! What wonderful suggestions - I love that you are suggesting pieces by female composers. And many (American especially) piano teachers have never heard of Eckhardt-Gramatte, but I have because my undergraduate teacher knew her personally...I will see about getting to these requests and look forward to getting to know these pieces. In the meantime, I do have videos on both movements of Kuhlau Op.55, No.1, which would definitely have similarities to Op.20, No.1, so I'd encourage you to watch those and see if there's something helpful for you there. 😊 th-cam.com/video/L0r7AvcEL_g/w-d-xo.html
If my video helps you learn, that's great! My main goal, however, is to help other piano teachers teach historical repertoire to their students. Good luck with your studies.
Do you have other pieces in the intermediate repertoire that you'd like me to cover in a future video? Leave a comment here!
Schubert op 50 no 13
I'm an adult senior age 77 and I enjoy your videos for intermediate

This is a great piece. I’d love to hear of the other Schubert pieces and the lecture you mentioned.
Thanks, Sean. So far the whole lecture is not recorded and available, but I will definitely consider which Schubert piece to cover here next. Do you have a favorite?

Janna, right in the beginning of this video, you mention a lecture on Schubert's work for pre-college students. Is that on youtube?
Unfortunately, no. It's a presentation for piano teachers which I am happy to give to associations and groups. More info here: www.jannawilliamson.com/teacher-presentations
I'm watching this as my own teacher. Haha.
