My first barbershop opens this Friday!! This video helped a lot, as the days are closing in I get the little nervous feeling and I know it’s just me being passionate over my work and wanting to perfect my craft . I see a lot of cuts that barbers let go of today and they are almost modeling shoots and my cuts definitely don’t look that way but they are clean fades just not the enhanced look with white lines. Pray for me chat , I hope to be a successful barbershop owner and I’m always willing to learn

Same thing I’m going through now, cutting from my house, did the college thing, working a corporate job that’s not for me, but over coming the self doubt of becoming a barber is what I want. After watching this give me the motivation to want more for my life and daughter, to not conform and do what you have to do and if you fail you fail, get up and try again ✊🏼

Love the video. Super inspiring. Watched a bunch of your videos before noticing that it kind of looked like my town in the background. I am currently a sac city firefighter, so I know the look of downtown Sac. Im retiring in a couple of years and I’m looking for a way to add to my retirement. I think barbering is the way to go. And I have exactly the same doubts as you mentioned, except the too young is replaced with too old. I’m now going to make an appointment at your shop and i have tours at two local schools. Yo fam I'm from Syd. I'm a nurse ATM but really reconsidering my career. I went to university and did marketing for a few months but had to drop out to take care of my kids while my wife studies her make up passion. I'm thinking of taking the leap next year and heading into barber school as I wanna use my creativity.

I’ve been cutting for about a year and a half now, I just turned 16 and I’m glad that y’all make videos like this, cuz you guys really make it seem possible for me to get in a shop once I’m out a high school. @JFadeIt I havent cut hair like that i did a couple ppl in the army because the Berbers around base were weak and my own cuts but thats all she wrote when it comes to my experience. Should i go to school? Or even still do you recommend the apprentice program?

School isn’t my thing, I’ve always liked going to the shop getting a fresh cut and talking with my barber. I like the artistic side of being a barber. I’m a senior right now graduating high school, my biggest concern is not making a good living and being successful. Everything I’ve said I was going to be is successful with a stable life. If you could respond with some advice I’d appreciate it
One of my biggest fears is leaving the job that helps me out food on the table for barbering/barbering school and I’m just afraid that it’ll cause financial frustration to my marriage..

Right now I’m in college for heating and air conditioning, but I think of a barbering career all the time. I’ve only cut my friends hair once, but i guessed with the techniques and guards, and eventually just stopped and took him to my barber before I went past the point of no return lol. But I’m always focused on my hair and appearance, barbering is something I’ve thought of since a kid. Is it worth it? I have no experience cutting except the one time I just explained. Only recently I’ve wanted to become a barber, the thing is I’ve always been around the environment, I loved styling my own hair n shit😂, yeah regular always finding the new trends or doing my own thing. But one of my close mates has been cutting hair for time since high school. I started getting cuts from him and I saw the growth, the income obviously like my guy owns a merc, that’s what gave me so much inspiration and motivation like damn I could do this, I can move like this too etc. Mind you I’ve never cut in my life, couple weeks ago I went it and worked with him, cut a few people’s hair, of course I was nervous the first guy I did was sus but it was only a bald line I was real nervous cause I’ve never done it I’ve only seen but my mate always had confidence and always had my back, like I said I was just doing the bald lines, the clippers with a guard on, nothing crazy but by the end of the day, and the 3rd and final cut I got comfortable, I really enjoyed it and I was real happy, I’ve never felt happiness like in my life, I just felt good. So starting soon I’m going to be on my own journey!!💖, with this apprentice ting.✨
