When i went there it was high tide, so i barely had to reach down to the water and the tarpon would come up and grab it from my hand. Never thought of the damn birds trying to grab it from my hands lol. Great video. Just finished reading "fishing the bucktail" and it was excellent! Thanks for a good read.
Ive been there twice I have some funny video of people feeding the Tarpon. I sit at the restaurant and start filming. I have vid of a small dag barking at the pelicans and the pelican gets pissed off and lunges and the tiny dog. He could of swallowed the dog. The dog was so surprised that it never barked the rest of the time on the dock.
hah love that place. the best is when people lay on the dock and hold their hand down into the water and the fish latch onto their arms. Theres some videos on here of those...good shit
My wife & I will be driving through there on Jan 13th en route to Marathon, & back on the 21st. Any tips on what to see or do while there, beside checking out the tarpon. I'm REAL excited about the trip, will be spending most of my time there fishing. Thanks.
Where is the Kayak and fishing rods? If you don't play with the tarpon there is always smaller fish around. think spotted sea trout, red snapper use gulp under a popping float in any hole around there to find them. Again where is the kayak ?
