Chris Montez is the 20th of 20 children in his family.

That was the first record I danced to when I was 16 48 years ago brilliant disco's those where the days
remember this as a young boy back in 63 playing the pinball machine in the local cafe and listening to the juke box great memories
Always enjoys those old rock n' roll classics from the 60s. Music was meant to fun and have enormous attitude, and character!

As an 17 year old student at College at Walthamstow London, I had tickets to see Tommy Roe, Chris Montez and the Beatles on 9 March 1963 at the Granada East Ham. My girlfriend and I attended a great concert which stayed in my heart being a great fan of all three, ln December1988 flying on Concorde from London to Barbados my Norwegian wife and l sat by Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach, who, like ourselves were going to Mustique. We were to stay with our friend Basil Charles the owner of Basils Bar Mustique as on 7 January 1989 we had exclusively booked a celebration of my wife's 40th birthday party attended Ringo, Barbara and Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. Mick and l shared an architect who designed both our villas

“Let’s Dance Everyone!!” Love this catchy energetic song my motto is dance like nobody’s watching & if they are, do it anyway!! @ 0.50 I could watch that couple dance together all night long! The 2 ladies dressed alike in long matching pantsuits can really move! Wanted to be a go-go dancer but born too late, did however go-go dance in my older brother’s~drummer garage band when 11yrs young, what I wouldn’t give for a vid of that today! haha

I first heard this in 1978, back then when you went to the cinema (single screen) you would get a short film before the main feature. 1978 was the last time i ever saw a film that had a short film before it, the film was about a craze making it's way over from America called skateboarding... and this song was the main one throughout the film

I attended an “Animal House” party ‘78 freshman @ OK ST UNIV. in Stillwater, OK. Guy friends had a huge rental house lots of people, we dressed in togas~danced~partied to the movie soundtrack then converged~ran through a large country bar yelling “Toga~Toga~Toga!!!” 😂
Think Garth Brooks was playing that night, it was before he hit the big time thanks for the cool memory jolt!

I was 17 when My friend Alice and I crashed an El Camino College fraternity party, we heard that Chris Montez was coming. Thinking this was my chance to dance with the guy who sang this popular song, I asked him to dance. Guess what he told me, “I don’t dance”.

For a long time I thought Chris Montez was a girl. I had never seen a photo of him. He sang “ The more I see you “. I was in the Army overseas, did not have a radio, TV or a phono. The local Gasthaus had all his tunes on the box. Somehow his voice and style translated to me that he was a petite blonde from California.
Chris issued five albums in the 1960's, one for Monogram, and four for A&M Records. He was pictured on nearly all of those album covers, and was clearly a boy. He was also a pioneer in the Mexican-American singer movement, since his proteges were Ritchie Valens and Chan Romero, two more Mexican-American rock singers.
