Copyright rules in Japan are just different than copyright rules in the U.S. Plus, we’re not exactly sure that it was Nintendo of Japan that took down the Smash Remix channel. For all we know, the Smash Remix team could’ve deactivated the channel due to possibly being done working on the mod.
Still hope that Joanna is added to the game as a playable fighter in the next update. Heaven knows we need more female characters in Smash 64. That plus it's time for Smash Bros to get a first person shooter character
