This is really wonderful but unfortunately OT doesn't include arts and crafts as therapy here in the US, at least that I've seen in outpt & inpatient. 😔

It actually does in some places! I shadowed an OT here in the states that used A&C!

@@kezauralyaa I'm just seeing this! Thanks for responding..I didnt even get notification. Luckily just found this video again by chance. So just curious what type of facility you shadowed that at? Was it geriatric, pediatric, outpatient, skilled nursing etc? Also, do you know if COTAs can do that as well? Any help is greatly appreciated 🙏

@@MelisJoy Hi there, Arts and crafts are often used for mental health populations and peds. I have also heard of taking an altruistic approach to palliative/hospice care setting...the OT would have some of her clients make cards for children's hospital and it actually showed improvements in blood pressure and depression. OTs can turn anything into something billable lol just got to have proper justification for doing what you are doing. P.S. I am 6 months shy of graduating OT school, so take this information with that in mind. I am going based off of things I have seen in clinicals and learned in school so far. Hope this helps :)
