I heard this song when I was still a Police Officer back in the late 1980's, (I think.). I was going through a very bad time in my life. My wife had left me, and I lost most of my friends because of that. I turned mean, and lashed out, and for the first time in years, I missed my Grandfather, who was a good, Christian man. He was always praying for me, and always told me, "you see, someday you'll beg Jesus Christ to come into your life because when you lose everything else, he'll be waiting." It was the middle of the night when I heard the song, and just that quick I thought, "I want to talk to Gramps." He didn't answer directly, Jesus did. I pulled over to the side of the road, and for the first time in years, I cried, and thenI prayed. God accepted me unconditionally right then and there. I started going to church, and met a wonderful Christian woman, whom I eventually married. That was almost thirty years ago, and I couldn't be happier. I have Jesus Christ, my wife, five children, and ten grandchildren. Most of all, I have my Anchor, Jesus Christ to whom I pray, and give thanks to every day. If I died tomorrow, I'd die a happy man, content in the knowledge that I will meet Jesus, and maybe, I'd get to thank Gramps for showing me the road to follow when the time was right.

I have found whenever you hand over all your cares and trials of life to Jesus Christ the load is not near so heavy for me to carry because his yoke is easy and he invites us all to grab ahold. It is there for each of us. That's if we can push Pride out of the way. And the Trials of life seem to be like a everyday chore. Not much to it anymore. It's much easier to deal with it. Almost like feeding the cat everyday. Open the sack of cat food and lay it down on a table and let the cat eat anytime he wants to, that easy. It is not up to me to figure out when the cats needs to eat.

I have listened to this song, since I was a small child. Even saw him live with a church group. In 2012, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I was 28. I was given 3 months to live, with or without treatments. That's been 5 years ago, this month. My mother would put this song on, when I was laying in the hospital, just ready to give up. But alas, the anchor holds! And here I am today.

After 19 years of living with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis that followed a bout of colon cancer, I thought things were tough. Then the screws have tightened another twist. My stent of a year ago became 100% blocked and onto the cutting board, I went again for a three-way pass surgery. As the following year progressed, I fought a leaky incision that just wouldn't heal. Surgery after surgery was performed than when the leak finally halted, I caught the MRSA and Strep insult. Oh, but the Anchor still holds even though my sails are tattered and my seas remain anything but calm. What a great song that touches home. Jesus is the calm before and after each storm of life.

I’m a covid and double covid pneumonia survivor. I had moderate covid then got double covid pneumonia I was sick for 25 days and was healed on February 5th. So Saturday will be a year since my healing
My husband had by lateral pneumonia from COVID. Unfortunately he didn't survive. He was healed on January, 20th. God took him home, for his work on earth was done! God Bless everyone that has had to go through this life taking virus. I miss you Pat every minute of every day! Gone way too soon!

After surviving as a passenger in a Car that ran into a river one lonely night three-miles from the nearest help, in 15-below zero weather,( two-days after a ice storm), I knew that I wasn't going to survive. As I swam-out of the car and onto the icy-bank, everything froze immediately. Due to being a crippled, I told my friend to take me back to the top of the levee, where we' had just been not 5-minutes before. When we' got up there, there was a roaring fire burning on the other side! As I walked towards the fire, I noticed something else that hadn't been there-a rick of dry wood with no ice on it! There is no doubt that God had intervened and made that fire. Had He' not-I would've died quickly! Miracles do happen everyday! In Christ I thank you all for reading this. Put Your' Trust and Faith in Jesus Christ-Our King, Redeemer and Advocate to the Father!

I know Ray has had some struggles in his life with his faith. If Ray were to ever read this, I would tell him that I love him very much, and the Lord loves him very much as well. When Solomon, the wisest man in the world had met with God the second time, in 1 chronicle chapter 7. You see him shortly after starting build temples and idols to false gods while being seduced by foreign women. Then at the end of his life, he returned to the Lord, and tore down those idols and we have the wisdom from Ecclesiastes to share with us. He declares “it is all meaningless except a relationship with God”. The Lord hasn’t given up on you yet, Ray. There are many of us like me that pray for you. I hope one day to meet you in person or the kingdom and shake your hand and give you a hug. God has used your music to touch the hearts of many believers all around the world. God says he won’t let his word return void and we are claiming Ray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

I used to attend the same church as Ray did. It was called Agape Ministries, just outside of Muncie, Indiana. I purchased his first cassette tape he was selling in the sharing space of the church. I have sang several of his songs in church over the years. His accompaniment tapes sold more than his albums did, cause they were many who were moved by his songs and wanted to sing them as well.

She died four days after Christmas on my birthday...yet through all of it He held my hand firmly the entire time.....and still does.. Praise His Holy Name......
Nearly 30 years ago my husband left and filed for a divorce. Along with God's Word, this song encouraged my heart and helped to heal a deeply wounded soul. Thirty years have come and gone and this song continues to lift me up in praise and thanksgiving to the God of all comfort and grace.
My parents used to listen to nothing but Ray botlz when I was a very young child, and I hadn't heard this song in soo many years but I found my way back to it this past year as my grandmother battled stage 4 lung cancer, and it was absolutely the greatest storm of her life and it was so drawn out and traumatic for all of us who had to watch helplessly as she went through it, but this song brought me so much hope and comfort. God brought her home and ended her suffering on 2.05.21. She kept talking about wanting to go home in her last days even though she was actually at home but she kept saying she wanted to go home to her house on the hill, I belive God prepared her a home so beautiful and I just know that she is finally home now and will be waiting on me one sweet day.

I heard this song when I was still a Police Officer back in the late 1980's, (I think.). I was going through a very bad time in my life. My wife had left me, and I lost most of my friends because of that. I turned mean, and lashed out, and for the first time in years, I missed my Grandfather, who was a good, Christian man. He was always praying for me, and always told me, "you see, someday you'll beg Jesus Christ to come into your life because when you lose everything else, he'll be waiting." It was the middle of the night when I heard the song, and just that quick I thought, "I want to talk to Gramps." He didn't answer directly, Jesus did. I pulled over to the side of the road, and for the first time in years, I cried, and thenI prayed. God accepted me unconditionally right then and there. I started going to church, and met a wonderful Christian woman, whom I eventually married. That was almost thirty years ago, and I couldn't be happier. I have Jesus Christ, my wife, five children, and ten grandchildren. Most of all, I have my Anchor, Jesus Christ to whom I pray, and give thanks to every day. If I died tomorrow, I'd die a happy man, content in the knowledge that I will meet Jesus, and maybe, I'd get to thank Gramps for showing me the road to follow when the time was right.

I have found whenever you hand over all your cares and trials of life to Jesus Christ the load is not near so heavy for me to carry because his yoke is easy and he invites us all to grab ahold. It is there for each of us. That's if we can push Pride out of the way. And the Trials of life seem to be like a everyday chore. Not much to it anymore. It's much easier to deal with it. Almost like feeding the cat everyday. Open the sack of cat food and lay it down on a table and let the cat eat anytime he wants to, that easy. It is not up to me to figure out when the cats needs to eat.

I have listened to this song, since I was a small child. Even saw him live with a church group. In 2012, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I was 28. I was given 3 months to live, with or without treatments. That's been 5 years ago, this month. My mother would put this song on, when I was laying in the hospital, just ready to give up. But alas, the anchor holds! And here I am today.

After 19 years of living with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis that followed a bout of colon cancer, I thought things were tough. Then the screws have tightened another twist. My stent of a year ago became 100% blocked and onto the cutting board, I went again for a three-way pass surgery. As the following year progressed, I fought a leaky incision that just wouldn't heal. Surgery after surgery was performed than when the leak finally halted, I caught the MRSA and Strep insult. Oh, but the Anchor still holds even though my sails are tattered and my seas remain anything but calm. What a great song that touches home. Jesus is the calm before and after each storm of life.
Thank God for bringing me thru a disease that was supposed to kill me before age 20 and I am still alive at age 32 going on 33 Praise God

My husband had by lateral pneumonia from COVID. Unfortunately he didn't survive. He was healed on January, 20th. God took him home, for his work on earth was done! God Bless everyone that has had to go through this life taking virus. I miss you Pat every minute of every day! Gone way too soon!

After surviving as a passenger in a Car that ran into a river one lonely night three-miles from the nearest help, in 15-below zero weather,( two-days after a ice storm), I knew that I wasn't going to survive. As I swam-out of the car and onto the icy-bank, everything froze immediately. Due to being a crippled, I told my friend to take me back to the top of the levee, where we' had just been not 5-minutes before. When we' got up there, there was a roaring fire burning on the other side! As I walked towards the fire, I noticed something else that hadn't been there-a rick of dry wood with no ice on it! There is no doubt that God had intervened and made that fire. Had He' not-I would've died quickly! Miracles do happen everyday! In Christ I thank you all for reading this. Put Your' Trust and Faith in Jesus Christ-Our King, Redeemer and Advocate to the Father!

I know Ray has had some struggles in his life with his faith. If Ray were to ever read this, I would tell him that I love him very much, and the Lord loves him very much as well. When Solomon, the wisest man in the world had met with God the second time, in 1 chronicle chapter 7. You see him shortly after starting build temples and idols to false gods while being seduced by foreign women. Then at the end of his life, he returned to the Lord, and tore down those idols and we have the wisdom from Ecclesiastes to share with us. He declares “it is all meaningless except a relationship with God”. The Lord hasn’t given up on you yet, Ray. There are many of us like me that pray for you. I hope one day to meet you in person or the kingdom and shake your hand and give you a hug. God has used your music to touch the hearts of many believers all around the world. God says he won’t let his word return void and we are claiming Ray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

I used to attend the same church as Ray did. It was called Agape Ministries, just outside of Muncie, Indiana. I purchased his first cassette tape he was selling in the sharing space of the church. I have sang several of his songs in church over the years. His accompaniment tapes sold more than his albums did, cause they were many who were moved by his songs and wanted to sing them as well.

My parents used to listen to nothing but Ray botlz when I was a very young child, and I hadn't heard this song in soo many years but I found my way back to it this past year as my grandmother battled stage 4 lung cancer, and it was absolutely the greatest storm of her life and it was so drawn out and traumatic for all of us who had to watch helplessly as she went through it, but this song brought me so much hope and comfort. God brought her home and ended her suffering on 2.05.21. She kept talking about wanting to go home in her last days even though she was actually at home but she kept saying she wanted to go home to her house on the hill, I belive God prepared her a home so beautiful and I just know that she is finally home now and will be waiting on me one sweet day.
