I used to capture Raw due to more details being collected. but i normally don't spend time editing. so i think i would switch over to jpeg next time.

i have nikon d5300 When download images by phone app(WMU) it downloads max size of 2-3 MB for a raw photo but in SD card it is of 20-24 MB.What is the difference?

Mai depending on situation jpeg ya RAW shoot karta hu. Picture profile neutral rakh kar colour, contrast, brightness, sharpness, clarity etc ka preset save kar rakha hu. Mostly outdoors me jpeg se kaam chal jata hai. Dynamic range jab jyada hota hai, mai flat picture me sab settings dial down kar ke dusra custom settings save kiya hu. Isi profile me RAW shoot karta hu.

Only exposure settings affect raw files, remaining things can be corrected in post processing.

I settings raw file but when I seen my picture in laptop then show like virus not open picture direct.
How to open raw file in laptop?
Use LR or PS software
Pls download capture NX-D software for nikon raw images editing
Use dxo optics pro or photolab 2. I found this software best for Nikon dslrs for decoding RAW files. It has prime de-noising feature which is so far best. It's just like Lightroom but with some difference. You can use both for best results. In some years, it will surpass the Lightroom in every feature.

Raw images computer में खुलती नही है। और उसको edit करने के लिए भी पैसे खर्च करके photoshop या lightroom को registered करना पड़ता है या update करना पड़ता है।
इस लिए jpeg ही मुझे पसंद है

RAW file bahut hi bura dekhne me hota hai. Usko develop karoge, to final picture direct jpeg se far better hota hai. Aap techniques par dhyan do. Focus technique aur histogram se exposure ki jaanch karna seekho. Phir baaki kaam computer par kar lena.

That's a compromise you have to make. I shoot according to situation. When I get enough light and good exposure, my camera settings are such, I don't need to edit much, so I shoot JPEG at the time. When I need to pull the shadows and highlights, I prefer RAW for best correction. I avoid too much processing and my picture looks most natural and live.
