Great video! I participated in the 2019 Fastnet on a Whitbread 60. The weather was decent and there were 13 of us on board. I can imagine how difficult it was on a boat ½ the length in heavy weather and double-handed. Congratulations! You two make a great team and I hope to see more of your successes in the future!
A close 2nd place in the double-handed Fastnet Race is better than 1st place in almost every other ocean race in the world, the Sydney-Hobart Race excepted. Well done!
Outstandingly good video - thanks Shirley and Henry. Speaking as a multiple Fastnet competitor and Class winner it gave a great insight into their approach and 2-handed sailing. No hyperbole, just "get on and do it" - well done both of you.
Really enjoyed watching the video, I can't imagine doing double-handed on a race like this with that kind of challenging weather in the beginning, I wouldn't. Legend!
really excellent production. i was gripped all the way through and thats rare. credit to the whole team for making the effort to produce this film for the TH-cam community. What next for this dynamic duo?
The amount of data that comes out of that boat must be immense, I think I spotted load cells on: bobstay, forestay, cap shrouds, and backstays. Must make settings much easier to exactly repeat.
Best video with excellent content, edit, and without a doubt keeping it real. No need for drama on this one. We'll done and thank you. Greeting from the Chesapeake.
Brilliant. Really enjoyed that, thank you. It also validated, as I have often said, that sausage rolls are a sailing essential. Well done (for the sailing, not just the SRs)! :)
Well done and fair play to you for filming the campaign, pretty raw and all the more representative for it. Pretty sure I would not have been going below that first day to film a piece to camera. Running Aleis and Guillaume so close is pretty impressive on your first outing, I raced Aleis and his father in 2005 double handed Fastnet so he's been winning that for 16 years now. Best of luck with wherever this takes you and hopefully all the way to 2024 and Marseilles
Great episodes depicting what it’s like to take part in the Fastnet. Love these yachts too, must be great fun to sail, and one day I will take part in the Fastnet 🤞 well done to everyone involved 👍
I have been sailing a scow for a while and the shocks by 15kn are way more frequent and violent, way more than the sample as they leave the Solent, which may not be representative. And it is amazing how the human body and mind adjust. And my little scow sailing is not heroic by any mean. Thx for taking the time ans efforts to record, edit and share!
you guys sail so well together - great compliments to each other. More power to you and a brilliant result. It was great to follow you live during the event and even better for this wrap-up - light air lotteries are always a killer
Great vid. It would be interesting to know if the JPK caught you later because of a difference in the wind or whether it's quicker downwind in the light. I wish there was some better way we could learn about racing this style of boat; all the sailing media these days is basically fluff pieces and PR about foilers and big boats, rather than actual information that we can use on our own yachts.
The entire series was a great watch. thankyou!

Great result, well done, thanks for sharing your experience - I race on a Jeanneau 36i, not quite the same but still a good feeling.

I really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing the trip. Top editing by Tim Butt and Vertigo-films, really brought the whole thing to life!
Great coverage and story-telling! Thanks for sharing!
Being, deservedly, proud of 2nd place is dignified.

What a great video! It tells the story of your 5 day race very well. Congrats to your both...what an effort!

Greeting from the Chesapeake.
Excellent effort team and an top series of videos we need more of this in our lives.

Many congratulations! This is the best onboard video coverage of this year's Fastnet, chapeau!
Great piece....
Well done race, well done video! Subscribed and liked 👍
Great success, great video, this can be inspiring for other people dreaming of such an adventure. Thank you and good luck.

Excellent video, great sailing, crew and story telling!
Love this video. Well done.
Great !! Amazing team work !!
Awesome video, so close !

Bloody epic! Beautifully edited yet still quite raw. Must get on a crew next time around
Wonderful effort! Nice video, good boat, awesome crew.
Very nice, thank you for this
Great, simple, human.
Every boat that ' hove to ' in the 1979 fastnet survived. A great maneuver.
Amazing! Well done!!!
Great Video. I made it less than a minute on corrected time - otherwise you won have been another British name on the Brunskill Trophy.
cracking video - ✌👍
The name of your boat perfectly describes your race - as well as the video: just SWELL! Thx for taking us onboard.
Well done
Great, Thanks

Cool video btw
bugger that, most of these lil boats have no deadrise fwds, so SLAM SLAM SLAM, but well done to you all
Congrats, you did a really good race. Thanks for sharing :)
By the way what boat is it ? It looks really nice.
It's like sailing in a big Dingy (wet sailing) and sleeping in a tumble dryer...while doing the thing you love.
Really interesting thank you. What is the weather software you use?
What’s the routing software they use?
which model of boat are you sailing? it is really nice
sunfast 3300
man that boat feels small
What is the music, please.
Ne
Nice video but I would prefer it without the gimmicky editing effects.
Great video, maybe nix the music as its unnecessary
