You can just do these built-in steps on Apple's support website when you Google this problem.
1. Put watch on charger, hold side button until the sliders appear.
2. Hold digital crown, press Reset.
3. Set up the watch like normal, from new or from an automatic backup.
That is the most apple thing I've ever seen. Could've just been a simple reset button inside a pinhole like it has been for DECADES, but instead you've got to buy their proprietary part just to reset your own device lmao
Firstly this port was never meant to be used by consumers and was even removed in series 7.
Secondly, using a pinhole reset button will make it easy for thieves to reset and resell the watch. So stop acting smart cus u ain’t

@@markhylis9561 there’s no point in having a pinhole reset and probably uses some space in a tiny device where space is a premium. The watch rarely ever needs to be restored on its own. 9.5/10 times a person has the phone it’s paired to and you can reset the watch from the connected phone.
If for whatever reason you lost the phone it’s connected to, which I would think is a bigger problem than the watch, then you can just have the watch on the charger, hold a couple of buttons, and it’ll reset. If you are in a situation like this and Google “how to reset Apple Watch” or how to reset Apple Watch without phone” one of the top results is apples website which shows how to reset the watch in different scenarios like:
1. Have watch and phone
2. No phone but have watch
3. No phone have watch but don’t know passcode
Etc.
Bro I can tell an easier way to reset the password of apple watch just follow these steps:
1.Connect the apple watch charger.
2.Press and hold the power button until you see power off menu.
3.Then press and hold the digital crown until you see 'Erase all content settings'.

The actual problem with that message is that even if you have the setting turned off, where it’ll reset the watch after too many passcode attempts, it’ll force you to reset it anyway. Can’t tell you how many time I had to put my watch in my pocket at work and I pulled it out and it needed to be reset. Sometimes it only took about an hour or less
Alright, sounds annoying and all - but _why_ would you ever put your watch into your pocket? Isn’t the…whole point? Of a watch? That it’s on your arm at all times?
It’s waterproof, extremely sturdy, battery lasts two full days on a charge, it has a strap to hold itself in place. Also its singular advantage over a phone is that it’s strapped to your arm rather than going in your pocket. What possible reason could you have for keeping it in your pocket, ever, let alone often enough that you’ve needed to reset it multiple times?
@sparky6757 I work in construction. I've scratched and cracked a couple of apple watches at work. So when I know I'm gonna be working hard like that, I just put it in my pocket. Or some jobs in the refineries, you're not supposed to have cellular watches. Usually no one cares but a couple of asshole supervisors do so when you're around them you'll just throw the watch in your pocket.

Go to your watch app and delete the watch from your phone and it automatically resets and then just connect again I done the same thing to my watch one time
(I realized while typing this I didn’t lock my watch I just forgot my password and didn’t wanna risk locking the watch)

Working in wireless, I’ve seen watches that say this and I hate telling customers these three words, but I say “Go to Apple.” I didn’t know this was a thing or even possible

Put it on charge and depending on the generation, hold either the Digital Crown or the side button to bring up the power off screen with the erase button.

This has happened to my gfs watch but you can easily just factory reset it by holding down the crown. After it resets you can just pick its previous saved profile
U can also just put the charging puck on and plug it into a computer

You don’t have to do that u can use the buttons and restore , it will delete the passcode from the watch , I have done it before and it works with all the Apple Watches ,

wait, but if you forgot your password, and did all of these steps, were you expecting us to know the password from the start? I mean, if you think about it, most likely the only reason you would accidentally lock your watch is if you forgot your password. You would go through these steps to reset your watch and regain access to it, only to be asked for a password when the whole reason you even got into this situation was because you forgot your password, and now you have to cry about. It’s honestly a win win here.
Apple basically popularized a watch that stops being a watch when you get locked out, completely defeating the purpose of it being a watch

Or you can….Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider. Press firmly on the display (do not try to slide the Power Off slider - just press down more firmly than a normal tap) and then tap on Erase all content and

had that on mine. I didint need no port. You just hold the power button for a long time and it shows you a option to just reset it..... no need for extra steps
With the exception of the series 0, you can't actually utilize the sport for anything useful. Even if you go through the process of buying the Ibus connecter from third-party or one of these stolen Apple made ones from black market, there are no publicly available IPSW retire bundles that are still signed for any of those models. Attempting to restore it with a not signed restore bundle will simply fail. Also, series 7 and up has removed to the port in favour of a wireless 60 GHz USB solution

You just hold the power button, then when it says slide to power off press the screen with a little force and press erase.
Fyi newer watches don't have this instead they can be connected wirelessly using UWB

U can just reset it by holding the power button and then holding the power button again.
Duuude 🙄 it’s THIS EASY.
Put your watch on its charger and keep it there until you complete these steps.
Press and hold the side button until you see the power button in the upper-right corner of the display.
Press and hold the Digital Crown until you see Erase all content and settings.
Tap Reset, then tap Reset again to confirm.
Wait for the process to finish, then set up your Apple Watch again. When asked, restore from a backup.

Number one issue i have with Apple watches is boot loop. At my wits end with this SE repair.
Honestly, this seems like too much work when you can just reset it, you’ll have to wait a bit, but it will just be done in like 30 minutes
One good thing about samsung, you just need to wait longer and longer for putting in an incorrect password not use a whole other app

So basically, to reset your apple Watch, that was locked because it has this feature and that you can't unlock via your iPhone, that is probably paired to your watch, you have to buy another piece, that doesn't come with the watch and that might not be really cheap... I see

PLEASE, can you show how to get activation lock out of the new iPads, factory reset, etc. I got a brand new iPad from an auction storage locker, and Apple won’t take my papers from it!!! It sucks because I want to be able to use it
oooor just reset it and restore like normal following the "I forgot my passcode" instructions from Apple. No extra dongle that no one has required.
Or you can just do this.. Put your Apple Watch on its charger, then press and hold the side button until you see Power Off. Press and hold the Digital Crown, then tap Reset.
After the reset finishes and your Apple Watch restarts, you need to pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone again-open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then follow the instructions shown on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
It does the same thing but without the need for the other stuff..

The Ultra seems to doesn’t have this port. I have one right in front of me and can’t find a port like this. Probably due to waterproof reasons.
