    Well that was certainly more useful than the assembly guide in the manual! Cheers.

    I love Evolution tools but this saw is ridiculously difficult to put together. This video is marginally better than the manual (which is worse than useless) but is still very difficult to understand with its short edits and changes to camera angle. Hope the finished product will be worth the trouble!

    • @stecornes
      @stecornes ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agree 100%, should be slower, have explanations, the constant changing camera angles and close ups make it almost impossible to follow .

      You folks need to really study the video & redo. Totally!!! The speed is to high & the angle shots could really be improved. Very difficult to follow. After getting the fence properly adjusted to the blade the table top measurements were off 1/8" from end to end. What's with that?

    Much better than the instruction manual, however in Step 1 the instruction guide calls for the 4 flat washers (i) to be placed between the rails and the body of the saw. It may have been forgotten when making the video. Lee does a great follow up video on how to adjust the saw which was very helpful.

    That was helpful, thanks. Guess my unit was a little tight with the tolerances though - all was fine until inserting the last spacer in the leg assembly (4:35) which required 3 hands (I have 2), levers, and a copious amount of cursing. But the unit does feel solid and smooth and pretty well engineered.

    Hi! I have an evolution table saw and I love it. however, as i am 162cm toll, it is quite high for me. is there any way i can lower it down? thanks!

  • @alheeley

    Fitting the blade guard - if you have the sawblade less than 20mm above the table the guard jams the wood being cut. Or am I fitting it wrong?

    The manual is very handy for toilet paper ( if stuck out in the bush ) the worst i have ever dealt with , the biggest problem with this is trying to put it together up side down , the utube video made it a bit easier but it still took four hours two people and pulling it apart many times trying to figure it out ,
    The man in the shop told me not to buy the makita as it is out when using the slide and this brand is better ,
    ( he needs to keep taking his medication )the warranty should include twelve months free visits to your psychiatrist for help.

      I’ve cut a small slot in mine, in front of the spanner’s to push the mitre gauge into so when I fold it up in the shed I don’t catch it.

    Assembled quite easily from the manual but I wanted to watch to pick up the first lines of the manual - oh they’re skipped in the video! And the UK model seems to have a lot more cheaper plastic than the example shown here.

  • @briandwyer9767

    So step 1 in the manual isn’t step 1 in the video and just doesn’t really make sense in the manual.

    This video is really very helpful indeed 😁👍 The music was OK but could have a had a bit of lead guitar in it or keyboards to lift it a bit instead it was the same thing over and over again and I kept hoping that it was going to get better but it never did 🙄☹️ Let’s just hope the saw turns out to be better than the music 🤞👍

    The instructions for that saw suck so much that I looked up a video the day after I put it together. I was going to try to surprise my wife by finishing some trim around a sliding door I installed before she got home from work. She got home at 9:30 and told me the planer was too loud. I told her to calm down. Trim is done. I got the saw to cut metal. I don't like working with dead tree carcas

    I ordered this saw in April and got delivery last week. Only problem - the blade keeps going out of square. I have to really force the hand crank to get it square and then after just one cut it's about 1.5 degrees off. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone have a solution?

  • @johnwasilenko333
    @johnwasilenko333 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good Video!! General instructions are USELESS and why aren't bolt sizes in STANDARD as well TO SCALE!

  • @marcdawson2156
    @marcdawson2156 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well the instructions supplied are next to useless so this video is a considerable improvement however I still got it wrong despite constantly rewinding and pausing.
    You clearly show which pieces of the frame you are working with but then zoom in tight on the bolt holes which makes it quite difficult to judge the relationship between the two pieces that are being connected, this might well seem obvious when you have an intimate knowledge of the structure but maybe not so when you’re Joe Bloggs standing over a pile of loose parts.
    Isn’t this tool a good enough and popular enough machine to deserve decent quality instructions ?

  • @bogsdolics
    @bogsdolics 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi why not put matching stickers on parts that go together and print actual size drawings or pictures of screw/bolts and please make the writing bigger , reduce waste and only English, don't need other languages , also where should the black plastic support on the right hand side of the blade be as too the front rail ,G

    Extremely disappointed, if you have poor quality control it’s probably a poor product. Missing parts, bad assembly instructions, one wheel bolt actually had no threads🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ I have a twenty year old craftsman tb that has been worked that I trust more than this saw, just sketchy. Probably gonna give it away to a weekend warrior.

    Very poor instruction manual, didn’t realise I had to know Chinese. The video is ok but wear headphone’s because the music is rubbish. Instead of the music the guy in the video should be explaining the process, not rocket science.
    Good table for what you pay, but can’t see it lasting like my old Elu did, but you get what you pay for.
