झूठे आरोपों में सस्पेंड हुए थे पूर्व IPS के. राधाकृष्णन
के. राधाकृष्णन ने बताया कि “उन्होंने 300 से अधिक लोगों के मोबाइल फोन रिकॉर्ड की जांच की।” जांच के दौरान कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के कई कार्यकर्ता संदेह के घेरे में आ गए, जिसके बाद तत्कालीन गृह मंत्री ने राधाकृष्णन को पुनः अपने फार्म हाउस पर बुलाकर यह निर्देश दिया कि “यदि वह इस मामले में किसी पार्टी कार्यकर्ता के विरुद्ध कोई कार्रवाई करने का विचार कर रहे हैं तो इसकी सूचना मंत्री महोदय को दी जानी चाहिए।” इसके बाद के राधाकृष्णन की पुलिस टीम के कर्मचारी ही भयभीत हो गए और 10 दिनों के भीतर के. राधाकृष्णन को केस से हटा दिया गया। के. राधाकृष्णन ने बताया कि मामले से जुड़े दो महत्वपूर्ण गवाहों, जिन्होंने हत्या से जुड़े कई आवश्यक जानकारी उन्हें दी थी, उनकी रहस्यमई परिस्थितियों में मृत्यु हो गई। फजल की पत्नी द्वारा मामले को हाईकोर्ट में उठाया गया, जिसके बाद इस जांच को केरल पुलिस से लेकर सीबीआई को सौंप दिया गया था। सीबीआई ने 2012 में जो चार्जशीट दायर की, उसमें CPM के 8 कार्यकर्ताओं को हत्या का दोषी बताया गया था।
15 दिसंबर 2006 को IPS अधिकारी के राधाकृष्णन को कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा बुरी तरह पीटा गया, जिससे उनकी रीढ़ की हड्डी में चोट आई थी। उन्हें डेढ़ वर्ष अस्पताल में बिताने पड़े थे। इसके बाद साल 2016 में के. राधाकृष्णन को झूठे आरोपों में सस्पेंड कर दिया गया। उन्होंने अपनी बहाली के लिए साढ़े चार साल तक कानूनी लड़ाई लड़ी। अपनी बहाली के बाद वह मात्र 8 महीने ही नौकरी कर सके किंतु उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति के एक दिन पहले उन्हें डिपार्टमेंट की ओर से अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई का एक नोटिस थमा दिया गया, जिससे सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद उनकी पेंशन और अन्य सुविधाएं रोकी जा सके।
