Westerners aren't down for the fan service for one, language barrier, low promo in areas "outside" of Asia to name a few. Plus, it's widely known bts greased palms. If we're being serious and talking about kpop groups who are so well known and "purposely" went to areas where no kpop group has been before and been on American charts that would be Got7 (well before bts) and look at the hype they got worldwide. If they greased palms, they too could be a kpop boybands from a small label, that got ridiculous western exposure everywhere. Our Monsta X men aren't like that though. These Kpop guys are missing out on doing something pivotal that Jay Park and Jackson Wang indulged in heavily while promoting in foreign markets....RADIO INTERVIEWS MATTER. They're disgustingly overlooked because most can't actually speak the language where they're trying to money grab from.

How are they underrated? They have a huge fanbase and are able to successfully promote in Korea, the USA, and elsewhere around the world. They're here collaborating with a huge Western pop artist. They get regular media appearances in the US and Europe. The only way they can be considered underrated is in the context that others are overrated and make them seem far smaller in comparison.

To which the logical response is to point out the enormous popularity of some singers/songs that didn't/don't have much in the way of MV views etc but have been enormously successful. IU is a good example; she only recently achieved two MVs at over 100m views, but is by far one of the most successful and acclaimed Korean artists.

This entire album is a masterpiece and it’s amazing. Not a single filler song, every single is a work of art. I have listened to it every day for a week at the gym and it’s fantastic! All of the guys did great work with this and it will surely cement their status in the US. Monsta is giving us grown and sexy with class vibes with this album.

This entire album is a masterpiece and it’s amazing. Not a single filler song, every single is a work of art. I have listened to it every day for a week at the gym and it’s fantastic! All of the guys did great work with this and it will surely cement their status in the US. Monsta is giving us grown and sexy with class vibes with this album.
