technically,this “new” menu isn’t as new as you think,it was always in roblox studio since 2023 i think,and one time in 2023 or so it got into roblox for a bit.
i wish they added an extra update to it which allows you to turn on/off the "reset character" part when trying to reset, so you can just instantly die, and also add keybinds like setting T to reset your character or P to take a picture, and being able to change it
as a game dev, oh yeah, this menu was like a year ago in roblox studio and it was working perfectly fine, idk why did they take so long to set it up for everybody
for my opinion, it's very nice and cool cuz it has quick menu icons that other players need it if they're lazy to go on the old menu button they can just use the quick menu icons on the top.
Honestly, the new menu is SO MUCH BETTER than the old one. Before, the VC button above the character would overlap with other GUI's and makes you activate it by accident (ditto for the camera setting), so having it on top of the screen makes it so you can't accidentally click it. Besides that, is practically the same thing, I didn't knew you could click on spots on the capture for reporting something, so that would be useful, unless their double standards kicks in and STILL ban me for no particular reason. Edit: Before anyone else gets confused, I'm not talking about the old menu as the one before VC and other features got added, I'm talking about the last one we had.

Its only feel like that because of your muscle memory, it actually useful putting that on a left side since the right side is for your index finger to moving a camera. Just get to used to it im sure thats will make the "anoyying" feels gone
It's backwards because the new menu affects mobile players more than PC players. I am a PC player and I like the new menu, although for some reason I still don't have it, but I have a friend who plays in mobile and he hates the new menu.

dont worry guys if your on pc, bloxstrap 2.8.0 fixed it, but remember to pick 2023 in the preferred escape menu thingy (not 2023 + new ui) because 2015 and 2020 are glitched due to the menu having new features like capture, solution for mobile users is: buy a pc if you dont like the new menu lol
The main reason why it’s so disliked is because it’s known to severely break stuff like HD Admin, requiring a literal reinstallation to get a brand new topbar version that counters the issue. Along with the new change, this impacts pro PC players significantly due to how the UI size is setup.
the problem with it is that it makes everything impractical. You have to move your cursor to access stuff instead of hitting a key. So lets just say you need to access the leaderboard, but your menu is closed, you have to navigate it to find it instead of just hitting tab once. (or of your on mobile just hit the ... and leaderboard.) Its sort of just a handfull
Imo the one before this was my favourite it was very efficient and much more polished then the og one you all know and love. It’s much tidier and less overwhelming.

New menu is too much function, and it's on the left side, right side is just an empty space now. We used to having the button on the right and it's easier to access leaderboard and now it changed to many function
