पिंटू गांव में अफवाह फैलाता है कि उसे एक बंजर ज़मीन में सोने का सिक्का मिला है, और वहां और भी खजाना हो सकता है। यह सुनकर लालची नेता और मंत्री सोने के लालच में पूरी ताकत से उस ज़मीन की खुदाई करवाते हैं। मेहनत से एक गहरा तालाब तो बन जाता है, लेकिन खजाना नहीं मिलता। पिंटू की होशियारी ने गांव की पानी की समस्या हल कर दी और गांव वालों की ज़िंदगी बदल दी।

Our hero, Pintu, watches his mother suffer daily and comes up with a clever idea. He spreads a rumor that he has found a gold coin in a barren piece of land in the village, hinting that there might be a hidden treasure. The news of the treasure fuels the greed of the politicians, who deploy manpower to dig up the land. After a lot of hard work, they manage to create a deep pond, but they find no treasure!
Through his intelligence and wit, Pintu solves the water crisis for his village while teaching an important lesson about greed.
