Since the directors have shown that DH remembers the taste and smell of the fish dish cooked by a maid, why haven't they shown DH to draw some conclusion from it? At least towards on the way to the right conclusion, if not the complete conclusion. Really DH's expression was so dejected and irritated when he found the fish being eaten by Liam Song. So sad. Any reason the directors didn't want Liam Song to leave even s small piece of the fish? Can anyone eat the fish so fast? DH doesn't trust his own cooking. He didn't even take a small piece, just pierced his chopsticks in the fish to smell.

you can see Lian Song praised Zhong Lin for excellently hiding Di Jun's real character. about TMOPB, it only copied the character's name and some main detail in this story, it wasnt the original one. if you like it better, I must say ELOD is not for you.
This is actually not sequel to TMOPB.. you can say it's a spin off of that drama, although actually this drama is the actual original story, the dongfeng in TMOPB is the loose imagination of script writer in TMOPB... If you prefer DH in TMOPB, you can always rewatch the drama though, it's available everywhere and easy to find, DH in this drama is 'different' than what you like..
Thats because in TMOPB dijun and Feng Jiu's story got copywrited and has issues as the author only wants Bai qian and Ye Hua's story in that drama. Also we have to forget what they did in TMOPB for this couple. Eternal love of dream is purely based on the book and much better for me. You can actually understand more of Di Juns feeling for Feng Jiu here.
The Di Jun in TMOPB is more cooler and colder and I understand the appeal in that one because I love that version of him too but I also love seeing this side to Di Jun where he only show 'another side' to him (like a man in love) when it comes to Feng Jiu. He's still appealing in its own way in this version (to me). So in a way we still get to see that side of Di Jun but unlike how in TMOPB where his character cannot love someone freely at least in this canon version he could. So I guess depending on how you like his character portrayal there. He is still cool in this one too (adding along some scenes he's cute to me) , so how I see it is that both have its pros and cons. I do understand why people prefer the him in TMOPB though (and that's fine). For me because I want to see a happy ending for Di Jun and Feng Jiu, I like this one a bit more but I won't deny that TMOPB is what made me love Di Jun and Feng Jiu to begin with. I just think it's more refreshing to see this side of Di Jun. P.S. Ye Hua and Bai Qian story in TMOPB is what canon as per the novel but Di Jun and Feng Jiu story was added in the first one as a twist, but nonetheless some fans still fell in love with them in there and I'm one of them ^^
