3:28 coalescence only gives 4 element at lvl 3 and have an activation requirement and a 30 second duration. Since you are using Dragon Conversion 3 ANY hard res jewel would have given you 5 element permanently on red scroll. You don't care about raw on charge blade so the raw aspect on coalescence can be ignore (even if you want the raw for the blade attacks it's still better to leave coalescence at lvl 1 and use the lvl4 slot for something else). Replacing coalescence with any hard res jewel wouldn't only give you more damage with less restriction but also free up that lvl2 slot on the helm. Its a good build overall but considering how easy this mistake is to spot it really stood out.
I use a Frostcraft lvl 3 Charm with my Dragon Conversion CB sets as the Frostcraft damage multiplier applies to the Element Phials too (they also buff Gunlances Shelling damage) It's absolutely bonkers!
The funny thing about my Elemental builds is that I don't change the Charm or Armour pieces to match the element of the weapon, I just pick whatever works for one and apply them to all of them... it also means that modifying the builds (when a new QC upgrade has emerged and/or I find a better charm) is way easier!
i’m running an elemental set up for charge blade on my playthrough that makes use of wind mantle, bloodlust and coalescence over dragon conversion. i just unlocked the risen chameleos quest but i already have risen kushala armor pieces to try and experiement with once i have more of a game plan for a build. my current mix set is the furious rajang helm, silver rathalos chest, amatsu gauntlets and coil, with chaotic gore magala boots with my max wind mantle coming from a talisman with a level 5 defense boost skill added on for fun. so far this set up is great for elemental builds but because of the silver rathalos chest piece, i may resign it to being a primarily fire build cuz the silver solmail (silver rathalos chest) has level 3 fire attack naturally.
13:57 I just realised you could do that today after getting a boost to the Frenzied Bloodlust skill on my Risen Shagaru Waist I wonder if you can get MORE than one rank of a skill via QC, like getting 2 levels of Furious on one of the Risen Valstrax pieces
Theoretically possible, but you have to get kinda lucky. Furious is a B tier skill and u can get two if you get skill removal and probably some armor reduction.
@@lochinator9387 You don't need to lose a skill for it, I got 2 points of Mail of Hellfire which is the same tier as Furious while only losing defense. It is VERY rare though.
@@shardstorm2729 I usually try to use the default augmenting option to add the skills so that I don't loss elemental defence for Dragon Conversion also just to clarify, did you get 2 levels of Mail of Hellfire added on or did you have 1 level of Mail of Hellfire added onto the armour piece that already had one level of it?
@@lochinator9387 It would be nice, because Talismans typically have a maximum of 3 levels of a good skill (like Frostcraft, Dereliction, etc) unless you're lucky and there are 5 armour pieces, so you tend to have a situation where you have the following issue: Head=Dragon Conversion 1 + Furious 1 Chest=Dragon Conversion 1 + Frostcraft 1 Arm=Dereliction 2 + Furious 1 Waist=Dragon Conversion 1 + Frostcraft 1 Legs=Dereliction 1 + Frostcraft 1 This is my current setup for my Charge Blade build and while it is good; it means that I have the following list of unique skills: Dragon Conversion 3 Frostcraft 3 Dereliction 3 Furious *2* You see the problem right? Unless you get more than one level of a skill added on; you will always have one skill that is left at a lower level, the Talisman I am currently using has only one level of Furious, because the Talisman itself has great slots but also because I don't *need* more than one level of Furious... If I wanted to truly revamp my CB build; an ideal Talisman would be: Dereliction lvl 2, Furious lvl 2, two level 3 slots and one level 1 slot If I got lvl 3 of both that'd be great but I'll settle for 2 if I need to, and the reason why I'd want at least 2 levels of Dereliction is so that I can swap out the Archfiend Arms for something with better slots and skills... I actually already have Talismans that have two sets of strong lvl 2 skills like Dereliction and Furious (obviously not in that combination though) heck even a Frostcraft lvl 3 and Furious lvl 1 would be an improvement So that's the basic gist of my situation lol

Is this true?

Yes! I was just thinking i need to update my CB build. Lets goo
Is there any chance to get an updated sword and shield build?
Isn't there something new with the primordial armor? 😅
I understand most of what you’re saying but am confused by the scrolls

month late but yes, yes it is.
what switch skill u used pls?
Do critical element and element exploit work with phial damage?
yes
I don't play charge blade, but the uploader said in the video that phial explosions can't crit so I don't think critical element would help at all
