PLOT: Three aspiring rock musicians -- Chazz (Brendan Fraser), Pip (Adam Sandler) and Rex (Steve Buscemi) -- are determined to have their band's demo tape played on the air. Out of desperation, they sneak into a Los Angeles radio station, but when the manager, Milo (Michael McKean), meets them with hostility, they resort to threatening him with realistic-looking water pistols. Soon the situation escalates, and the none-too-bright rockers get in over their heads.

I remember my older brother was babysitting me. When our parents left he said"i have a surprise for you bood" n ran to his room and came back with a blockbuster bag. Inside were snacks and a rented copy of AIRHEADS. He ordered pizza and we watched this. He knew I was to young to see it but he took that risk. And ill always cherish that moment. Now he gets to talk to Farley personally

Rex from Pantera did a great job playing the role of Steve Buscemi in this film.
Supposedly Steve Buscemi had some license to do what he wanted with the character and modeled it after Rex. If that’s true I agree he did a pretty good job lol

Many critics says it's just a dumb comedy but I really frickin love this movie, it defines the 90s, the rock music scene and the comedy brilliance of each actor. Plus Brendan n Adam actually got nominated for Critics Choice awards 30 years later. And Brendan won

Underrated movie
The intro to this movie has a ton of rather kickass drum equipment.
Also, the security guard who is playing a video game system is playing (I believe) a sega game gear, and is playing "Aerial Assault" in a movie called "Airheads."
I didn't remember 1:38 being in this movie but now I'll NEVER *****ing forget it... holy shit!

I have recently noticed something quite curious! Any famous movie I can think of that centers around a radio DJ playing music on the air for a listening audience, is not "officially" available for rent or purchase on TH-cam. I've looked for Airheads, Pump Up the Volume, American Hot Wax, Mister Rock & Roll, and others, and none of them have been officially released on TH-cam. (Some have been uploaded by private users, and some later got taken down). I have no idea why, or if this could just be coincidence, but I have a feeling that it might have to do with the licensing of the music. Just a guess though.

SUCH AN UNDERRATED MOVIE I just wished he didn't say that Beatles line. That should have been taken out of the script we ALL begin with the B word. There's one scene that is perfect where B.F tells T.M(paraphrasing) "I AM Rock and Roll playing empty sets for nobody but the other bands girlfriends" great message and is very relatable if you're in the circuit. I have been doing this for 20 years and although I feel my time had passed you NEVER quit on what you love.

Michael McKean is the only real musician among the cast (who performed a gig at Wembley and influence a lot of bands like Metallica) and a good actor as well (he played Chuck in Better Call Saul)
I think that despite being hostage takers, Chazz, Rex, and Pip are not really bad guys and that they're actually good people who just want to be famous. Agreed?
