We farm in western tx and we don’t have many people running the cotton balers of either type. Got one that ran, last I knew, 2 old 7760’s, one runs a case cotton baker, and a couple here and there that run cs690’s. Most around us don’t have the land from what I understand to run in my area at least
It’s not a lot but at the same time there nothing we can do about it. Any of the white you see is most likely on the bottom of the plant and the picker has a hard time picking it up
A few as I know cotton strippers were used years ago and probably still are on non irrigated field. Usually 1 bale or less yield in the western states Texas Oklahoma etc.. it takes several thousand acres of 2 bale Plus/acre yield cotton to pay for a three quarter million dollar cotton picker....and most of that cotton has to be irrigated....
Tilling, Planting, harvesting maintenance, your family does it all themselves. My favorite videos are right here 😊
Haha thanks. Yeah we’re definitely a farm that try’s to do everything themselves
Finally! Get to see a cotton harvest video. All I’ve been seeing is just wheat, corn and soybean harvest.
😂I know the feeling
Conley Banman Glad to know someone understands 😂😂
I think it’s really cool that you started making TH-cam videos, your doing great keep it up
Ernie Froese thanks
Conley Banman no problem

How much of the white left in the field is cotton? How much loss do you expect at harvest?
It’s not a lot but at the same time there nothing we can do about it. Any of the white you see is most likely on the bottom of the plant and the picker has a hard time picking it up
Can I ask why all the fields are in circles
Because we have to irrigate our fields we never get a rain so for irrigating we use Zimmatic center pivots
A good video.
That was awesome. I'm jealous. 🤣
Which do you prefer, the picker or the stripper? I can see how both have pros and cons.
Oh man that’s a tough question I love both
How many acres of cotton did y’all farm that year?
6,000 give or take
😂😂 I have never seen someone put in new wrap slower than you
I wasn’t aware this was a race

Hello I am Brazilian and I live in Brazil
what is the price of this cotton harvester there in the United States? CP 690
$800,000
I have always seen cotton strippers in Texas, why do you guys have pickers?
The fields have quite a bit of water and the cotton tends to grow around 4-5ft tall. So pickers tend to work way better

Oh yea all of our land is irrigated
