NBA 2K24 MyTeam released the tis the season event. This tis the season event will feature pink diamond Kobe Bryant as the collection reward. The tis the season past cards include diamond Penny Hardaway as the collection reward. Other cards include diamond David Robinson, diamond Ron Artest, diamond Ray Allen, amethyst James Worthy, amethyst Elgin Baylor, amethyst Jason Kidd and more. There will also be a free tis the season player released each day in the agendas. Pink diamond Kobe Bryant costs $250 to lock in for. I hope this helps your no money spent, budget and god squad.

When 2K made the announcement that they were removing the auction house the reason that they gave was that they felt that super high-end cards were not accessible to the majority of players. They cited the dark matter manute bol lock in as an example. Kobe's pink diamond that was released around the same time last year cost around 300K MT. To obtain him this year it's going to cost 4.5 million MT. On top of that, you could sell Kobe back last year and recoup most of your MT. He is a lock-in this year so that 4.5 million MT is gone forever. 2K is treating its players like ATMs. Oh yeah, wait until opals first come out. Kobe probably will feel like a bargain.

At some point we need to have a boycott conversation the money being spent this year after saying cards would be more obtainable

I liked having the Mt sites. The prices on cards were so astronomical that I only ran against the cards every now and then. Now it's just every game
@isaactaylor6236 that also is due to casuals being pushed out. It's another side affect of mostly grinders and whales being left. It makes the situation 2x worse.

Thank Ty. Way to talk sense into everyone who is really hyped about Kobe. Brought me back to reality with how greedy and manipulative 2k is. Man I hate 2k. Really wish a competitor would come around again. I am very seriously thinking about quitting Myteam and only playing franchise mode.
I've never seen a company so shamelessly and unapologetically greedy in all my life. This is not myteam. You can't use the cards you want anymore. If you do then you have to shell out a hundred bucks or so every week. People joke and such about oh this is buyteam. But it's true. You either throw money at 2k or you grind hours and hours. So kobe is 250 dollars. That's basically half price of a damn game system. I'm sorry anyone who tries to justify or make a case that this is ok is an absolute dumbass. I've been playing 2k for over a decade and this is the worst year for myteam ever and its not even close.

I had 850k and the best team as of yesterday. I'm picking up DRob and the Coach lock in to make my entire squad last longer.
The +4 3ball and the +4 speed seems really powerful. Like my giannis goes to 75 3ball, Kareem goes to a 70 3ball, king James 96 3ball, sga 91 3ball, DRob 93 3ball , speed also does some big stuff.
If I could that's what I would do. If you look at a lot of these players, they honestly have a lot of longevity if you know what you're doing. Plus a lot of players are good if you know what badges to look for and put on them

@jamesmarsh2001 are you suggesting that I won't be able to play with a suped up king James, pg, sga, drob etc. For long enough to save up mt for the next giant lock in a month? I get to keep my coach too... I don't get your point. I'll have plenty of mt in a week to grab the next DRob like player they drop.
@@jamesmarsh2001 fomo does come in hard. But it is possible to get really good cards and badge them out and use them long term. I did it last year. But it's hard once the dark matters start coming out.

I agree 1000 percent! But keep in mind locking in for Kobe will also give you about 10 other diamonds, and who knows who else will be apart of it

I knew they were gonna fucking do this, I said this will be a lock-in a couple weeks ago 😂. And he’s not even that good this year, his old gen sigs were 100x better.
Here’s the biggest issue content creators complain about the price of cards and how they need to be cheaper yet y’all are the ones giving them the money yes you get money back per video but content creators are the reason they make them so expensive because y’all would lock any cars in for even 1000$ just for content
Got an emerald from equal, opened a base then got a saph, exchange it for a base and got James worthy, L packs
Was able to lock in this set with 700k saved got lucky on some singles.

If you want Kobe today.. yes it will cost just like last year's Transcendent Kobe. I have no desire to get Kobe until March and he will cost around 200K maybe? Plenty of varying options at SG like Butler/PG13. I just got Shaq for 140K for all the players I was missing from the sets. Stop with all this impulsive FOMO hype.
