    This has quickly become my favorite piano channel. You’ve shown me several pieces I had never heard before and I enjoyed learning all of them. Where do you find these pieces? Some of them, like this one, are more well-known, but some of them are really unknown (and under appreciated).

      wow I apreciate the compliment! honestly I just scour the internet for piano music that I like. I already know what I like-mostly 20th century music, like Messiaen, Ligeti, Lyatoshynsky, Lourié, Ravel, etc. So what I do is I find an artist I like, then I google their list of piano compositions and I listen to all of them. Then I try to find the sheet music and learn my favorite ones!

      @@skuzzlebutt that’s awesome. I focus mainly on russian (and some french) romance and impressionist, but I’ve recently been branching out more into the 20th century (with your help). You should look into lyapunov and kurtág (if you haven’t already), they seem up your ally.

      @@piercejohnson6610 I like Kurtag! I'll definitely play some of his pieces at some point. I didn't know Lyupanov so I checked him out. He's not bad, but it's a little too romantic for my taste hehehe :') I really appreciate the recommendations though!

    I saw you at 99 subs so I subbed to show appreciation for visualizing many lesser known pieces. :)

    Do you listen to Igor Zhukov play op 16? Your playing reminds me of his. Also you should do the rest of op 16. On of my favorite prelude sets in the piano rep and its so simple.

    Hey i don’t know if you take requests but Scriabin’s op 56 no 3 is a one that i like

      Yeah I'm getting right on that! I'll let you know when I upload it. It usually takes me about 3 weeks to learn and record a piece. I'm currently working on two really hard pieces, but I'll try to do that one as soon as possible. It doesn't seem too difficult. I appreciate the recommendation 😌

    you really like preludes don't you

    • @skuzzlebutt
      @skuzzlebutt  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure. It's because I'm not a super skilled pianist and preludes tend to be shorter and easier pieces to play. I've only been playing for about three years.

      @@skuzzlebutt me too! I started to play 2 years ago and it's difficult to play the piano, requires a lot of dedication, I already play a lot of pieces in the videos of my channel, but I don't have confidence about my performances😢
