100 years of the airport - From the founding years to the destruction (Part 1) | Mittendrin 69

The founding years are full of fascinating stories. Frankfurt is a milestone in German aviation. In 1912, the Rebstock became an airship port. In 1924, Südwestdeutsche Luftverkehrs AG was founded, the original parent of today's Fraport AG. In 1936, the company moved to the outskirts of the city. The airships "Graf Zeppelin" and "Hindenburg" began scheduled flights until two disasters shattered all dreams.
