nice one, how do you set non linear condition for the bracing elements in steel structure, in a 3d model where you have seismic and wind loads already set, and you want the bracing elements to take only tension or compression. Do you set load case for non-linear condition? does this work in Etabs like I do it in Autodesk Robot.

You need to set the compression/tension limit in ETABS. After that, you need to define nonlinear load case then run the structural analysis.
