Can’t believe this is now withdrawn along with sister 2592. Only 2623 out of the Commanders left, that hopefully might stay a bit longer because of the recently accident damaged 2941.
This and 2582 are becoming trainers although this will almost certainly remain in Ribble livery while 2592 is for scrap sadly, tbh if you'd said to me a number of years ago that 2592 and 2596 would be two of the last three left in service I'd have laughed but credit to them while they were never the best ones they kept on going. Yeah I saw what happened to 2941 that will almost certainly be finished, if it gives 2623 an extra bit of time in service then that's at least something
@@BSRtransport I do also wonder how much longer Bootle’s 4117 will hang on for I mean I know it gets used for rail replacements and driver training but considering every time it’s went past me in the past 6 ish months at least it’s sounded like it’s overheating and I’ve been able to hear said buses cooling fan before I’ve seen the actual bus that can’t have much longer left.
Them B7s are refusing to die, St Helens throwing in their schools was expected to see theirs off but although 4108 is now dead 4110 and 4113 have more use. Three from Winsford have gone to Chester as well, I'm surprised 4117 has lasted as long as it has but as long as it doesn't end up with a major issue it'll likely keep soldiering on
@@BSRtransport I hope that any B7s without major issues are sold on after withdrawal, although it seems that’s not likely with Arriva hopefully it will happen like 4116 that was sold on to Presidential Travel. It’s just such a waste sending withdrawn examples to scrap if they don’t have any major issues, many smaller operators would quite obviously benefit from those B7s whether it’s their own rail replacements, schools etc.
2596, just like it's siblings, is still hanging on for dear life
It's had some work done to it, was never this good at Speke. Rumour is its life after service is already sorted but will have to see what happens
@@BSRtransport yes. Hopefully
Lovely! Wish I'd have managed to find more time for Commanders when there were more about
I had this one on the 33 instead of the 32, it's really quite good
Aye its a decent bus, this was on 320s and supposed to run in but the driver on 32s managed to arrange a swap 😂😏
@@BSRtransport I expected 2582 on the 320 run I did, and ended up with 4110 instead!
Nice!
Cool! Have you heard about 2582? It was on the 76.
Yeah I've just been on it, on 4108 now on the 89!
@@BSRtransport Ah cool!
I'm due to work on loan to St Helens in the next few days. Might try and see if I can convince a duty manager to let me take this on 352s. 😁
