Mamamoo aren’t even older compared to other Gen 3. The high end of gen 3 was 91’-93’ with youngest members usually being 96’-97’. Solar is the same age as Irene and Hwasa is Jisoo’s age - they’re a pretty average age for when they debuted

@@HawkKing2000 well it's not really a "brand new contract" considering she's been an artist under polaris since 2018. blockberry is a subsidiary of polaris so it's not like a huge change in management or anything. since polaris has a lot of actors in the company i theorize that they are slowly transitioning their music artists to blockberry so that polaris can be for acting and blockberry can be for music.

MAMADOL is a group that Kpop desperately needed. The industry has always been unfair towards women. A female idol who wants to start a family is supposed to leave her group and stop being an idol. I don't think there was ever a Korean artist who could become a mother and still remain active in a girl group. But why? It's not like after becoming a mother she's any less of a great performer she was before. And MAMADOL is a proof that female artists should be able to continue their careers even as wives and mothers because there's no reason they shouldn't do be able to do it. All 6 of these beautiful women are amazing performers. Together their stage presence is incredible. I love this song, this choreo, even the outfits. Everything oozes power. I wish this song would become a hit and that MAMADOL would remain as a group and release some more music in the future. Maybe if they do well, the Kpop industry will change a little and we'll let idols live their lives without having to choose between having a family or a career.
You have to have a child first before you know how busy it is to be a mother
I don't think they're gonna be half as active as any normal girl group because being an idol is a VERY busy job you practice ALL day everyday and sometimes get weekends off....obviously mothers would never be able to sustain both responsibilities at the same time as any normal idol. Yes age shouldn't matter because look at idols like Boa still wrecking it till this day, but being a mother and taking care of children is a whole different world

@@LO-dm6uf Of course they won't be like a typical girl group. Each of them has their own responsibilities. But they could be like Super Junior who only get together to release some new music once in a while, have rather short promotions and then go their own ways until the next comeback.
Honestly, being a mother shouldn't be that much of a problem. All over the world there are many female artists who still release new music and actively promote it while being mothers. It's nothing strange or bad. Just like millions of women continue their careers after giving birth, artists can do the same. In Kpop the problem lies in deep-rooted Korean patriarchy. Women are considered as the ones responsible for house and children while men are the ones to go to work. There are many reasons behind gender inequality in South Korea, but if two parents raise their kids together and share responsibilities, then raising kids doesn't have to be woman's sole purpose.

Where should us fans exert this love and affection towards now? There's no group that would come close to what MAMADOL represents.

Byul is a ballad singer, so her singing style is much different from idol singing. Eunji has not been on stage in a long time. She retired early to raise her kids and marry her husband. According to her, she never properly got singing and dance training because she had a short training period

@@andyjg2222 TVXQ y SHINHWA solo se reúnen para presentaciones especiales o nostálgicas, BoA es solista, T-ARA está practicamente desintegrado, Girls Day solo las sacan del sótano para exprimirlas y bye por otros mil años, Big Bang pues.....tiene sus problemitas pero ahí andan, los únicos consistentes son SuJu y es justamente lo que todos dan a recalcar que a las mujeres no les dan las mismas oportunidades, nos prometieron que GG iba a seguir promoviendo juntas pero solo sacaron Lil Touch para callarnos un rato.

I am so hoping that Mamadol's debut sparks a revolution and would inspire more married or older (than 30) to try to get back to the stage again. Or for tv programs to bring back more gems like this cast. Mamadol fighting!!

This is one the most criminally underrated Kpop songs ever made. It's a shame that they disbanded. I and many others would love to see a comeback. I've listened to this song so many times on streaming platforms. It's so good. 💖

To be honest I enjoy watching them way more than most of the current kpop groups with teenage members. I wish there was more kpop idols debuting in their 20s or even 30s.

I wasnt talking just about these ladies but about kpop idols in general. That’s just my observation from watching this video - i wouldnt mind if idols debuted at older age. It’s actually sad that being over 20yrs old is considerded being too old to debut for many kpop companies.

We need idols in there 30's(older), they are mature and can balance their life. And know what to do, rather than 13 yrs old kids. Who are not yet old enough to balance their andd know what to do.
