Scp is strange because It is by far one of the most scariest games ever made but at the same time has dark humor in it. I was playing Scp:Multiplayer with my friend, and it had to be one of the most funniest games we had ever played. A good example is the cafeteria. We were messing with the coffee machine scp (294) when my friend asked for a God cup. I typed in God, and without pressing enter, the machine EXPLOADED. Being ripped out of such a calm atmosphere with a sudden explosion was one of the most funniest things we had ever experienced. That's it for the story time. Also, great job on the video Wolf, SCP 1983 is one of my favorites.👍
Honestly the only thing I wish about 939 is that it was used in more parts of the game since the area has items that are not required to get to the ending and some seeds allow you to leave light containment zone without going to 939's.
11:00 what you speak of is called "fear of the unknown" which is what so many games fail to do. Or~ they create such a thing but fail the next step. Which is suspense. The moment you are given a weapon / or have killed the creature / have fully seen the creature. All these things dwindle the fear levels.
18:52 Ah yes, scp has bad gas 💨 (the first scp I ever learned about were raindrops, this ruined rain for me for a little while. "You love the sound of the rain? Centipedes upon ye, child!")
My fav section from a horror game I've played was a small russian indie title It's psychological horror, no jump scares whatsoever The horror came from the feeling of isolation and the track was so incredibly haunting that I nearly vibrated out of my seat The section was a transitional space, just a corridor underneath an old theater The kind that staff will use to move around and set up props and other stuff for the stage The liminality of it, the soundtrack and isolation got to me super hard I can't remember how the game was called but if I find it again I'll edit this comment
I found your discord pfp so funny btw. I was like "no way did she do that". Also scariest game i have ever played was subnautica. Though i became a master of that. Scariest vr game. And absolutely still hate it. Phasmaphobia :p
I'll be level, the scariest horror game experience I've ever had was in the Joy of Creation Halloween DLC. For those who haven't played it (since it's more obscure than the main game), you play as some poor asshole stuck inside Fazbear's Fright, locked in by someone who won't let you out until you find a hammer, break five pipes, then find a lighter and set the place ablaze. With of course, the downside being that you're in there with probably the freakiest rendition of Springtrap I've ever seen. You have a phone that you can use to access cameras and play audio lures, but no map, and unless you know the building more intimately than anyone ever should, chances are good you're going to mess up and play a lure right by where you are-- Also, if you die, you have to start all over. You're doing this in one clean run. What made it so bad for me was, like SCP Lab Rat, the sound design and my fear of the dark, but also my personal highly-specific phobia of mascot costumes. So imagine, if you will, a scene of me in pitch-black darkness, crouched between two arcade cabinets, in crushing silence that's only broken by Springtrap's footstep (which shake the camera more the closer he is, btw). I'm desperately flipping through the cameras trying to see where he is, trying to figure out where in the building I am, and trying to get him as far from me as possible. I find a room that I think looks like it's by the office, so I hit it, and oops! It was actually right next to MY room. The camera starts to shake as Springtrap hulks his way into the room sounding like Mr. X's more aggressive cousin. He walks into my room, looks over, sees me, and his eyes turn red. Game over. The buildup to that jumpscare was completely petrifying. I haven't touched that game since, and it's been YEARS. A lot of people beat it, and those people are stronger than I. You win, Springy. Man behind the slaughter of my SOUL that day.
NO WAY DID I GUESS CORRECTLY FOR SOMETHING WITH ONLY 4 PIXELS AS THE HINT

My lawyer has advised me not to state why 1471 is my favourite SCP.
( My actual favourite is tied between 1471 and 4975 )

edit: NO WAY DID I MANAGE TO GUESS THAT RIGHT
