I`m 35 years old and just started riding three years ago - I can relate so much to the older equestrian, haha! :D I love your comedic videos as much as your instructional ones!
I'm only 21 but I've been riding for 14 years. I literally screamed everytime the "old rider" spoke because of how relatable everything she said was lmfao.
72, as of last week. I think my worries about hitting the ground again are quite reasonable, even though I only had about one bad fall in my life. To me, the older a rider gets, the more we realize how much we have yet to learn. Each new horse teaches me something.
@@erynlasgalen1949 Oh it,s not over Lol! I just removed Cast boots from Both my legs 2 weeks early so I could get back on my horse! For me, riding is the Most fun thing in the world..You are never too old OR too young to enjoy this sport! Thanks Equine Helper for letting us in on the fun!
Thank you for showing the contrast between younger and older riders perfectly! When I was in my 20’a and 30’s I like riding big horses and jumping. Over the years the horses have gotten smaller and older. I am 68 and my horse for the last several years is a wonderful red dun mare who is barely 14’2. We love trail riding, she loves obstacle courses, and we do Liberty work. She is also older. We suit each other just fine!
“I love riding in the rain, it’s so eerie and mysterious and it makes me feel like I’m in *england*” as an English person I can confirm that that is accurate
I love this so much! I’m younger and I do look for horses (even though I won’t get one) that’s like Palomino 15.2 hands western and English barrel racing and dressage AND in my area LOL
I think your description is more correct then I’ve seen people advertise when they sell their horses. Have you ever seen “14.5hh QH female” Like, what’s 14.5? 15hh? 15.1hh??
Having been a rider since I was 12 and now 70, I can definitely attest to the transition from fearless, rough and ready to cautious and avoidance. Many broken bones helps solidify that transition. Well done, you are right on target~~
This is so relatable 😃 Being a 37 year old equestrian newbie, I have said all of the lines of the older rider. And every time I fall off, I just lie there saying "nah, let me just stay here for a few minutes" 😂
Camille, I've watched your videos for sooo long and this is the first one I'm commenting on. You knocked it out of the park!!! Love your all your training stuff, but this is super hilarious. #OldEquestrian4LIFE! #TuckerIsACutie
That is so true I do lessons and one of the kids love it when I do they are racing lessons for them but I always love to do flat work and trail riding in like 10 minute workouts 😂😂
Haha it's awsome ! I laughed all the time watching 😂 and totally agree with young and old reactions. I came through all of these ! I started riding when i was 16 and have this young approach but now I am 30 and the old approach reflects me right now 😃 what will happen when I get 50 ! Haha
Im super short i always loved tall horses and i still do, but i decided i wanted something small later on, just because itd be easy to get on, lols as i cant reach ever without a mountian block. Then i wound up with two giants.
So trueeee! I used to have a chill quarter horse when I was younger, I would do the craziest stunts with him. Now i have a FAST OTTB, and i just pray I don’t die every ride. :)
The good thing about being a young rider is that they’re up for anything and are very enthusiastic about doing it. Ngl I’m still like that sometimes, I’ll ride rain or shine, day or night. Hell, I’ll even ride bareback with a halter.
Heh me too^^ but for me it was the other way around. I didnt look or particular like that type of horse, but my loan horse looks exactly like that and he is the sweetest thing ever^^ so now it's my favourite horse look lol
I’m 40 and a mix of both. It all depends on the day and how my body is feeling. However, I’m totally the old equestrian when it comes to jumps, to the point that I decided to try barrels and poles lol
Love your videos! Mixed feelings though, I’m definitely somewhere in the middle after having kids!😁🥲. Definitely used to be the young daredevil though😕🤔😥😥😥😥😥😥
Big news! 🎉 🐴 My merch store is now live! Please consider buying a shirt to support the channel: equine-helper.creator-spring.com/
I love horses
I love you babe 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙🤙🏾😻
I fall like the young Equestrian I'm like I'm ok I'm ok I'm ready to get back on
That is so relatable 😂
“I don’t feel like falling off today” literally me all the time😂
Same!!!! 😂😂😂
Hahaha one time when i fell i did backflips lol
@@xxaestheticsxx784 That's impressive 😂
@@xxaestheticsxx784 I normally fall straight on my back

Hi! I am 32 and just starting to ride, I am happy to know there are others that start "later" in life :)
Sorry one question (i am learning English), what does it mean when sb says u r a horse kid?
@@user-nj1rl9fb5l It's never too late to rid! I am going to go back to ride racehorses after 20 years and im in my 40s

Sorry for asking.... I am learning English... What does it mean when sb says u r a horse kid?
“I’m gunna need a minute” I feel that.
I am 69 and just had my first jump lesson Tuesday. I am too much like the young rider. But hey, what's life without horses.
That is so awesome! They say, you’re as young as you think you are!
@@marylamb56 Yeah as long as your body lets you get away with it!!!!!
@@petals2517 Thanx My new horse likes to take fallen logs on the trail, so its kind of a must although I have always wanted to do it.

I can relate. I’ve been the young equestrian and now I’m an old equestrian 🤣🤣🤣
Congrats on the merch store!!!
I am OLD.. like 70’s old Lol!!! This is too funny and SO true!!
I came back to riding at 31 but I feel like ancient compared to all 10/13yo kids 🤣
@@tulaj_pieska Who is that person jumping bareback in a head collar wearing a straw hat? Oh, it's me 40 years ago!

As an 11 year old who has been promised a horse my whole life, i can agree. We got this though. We can do it. One day!

I always say ok tentatively when a young rider proudly announces after one lesson that they now know how to "put a horse on the bit"!
48, and I've been riding since 16. This is bang on!
I love how the old equestrian is like me even though I just started 😂😂 And I love how outside the flies are just swarming you 😂
I just love how accurate this is 😆
"I don't trust that horse at all" 😂 me
Ha - this is great, thanks for posting! Love Tucker and your other horses😍

Thanks! And thank you for your support 🙂
This video is so good! I’ve literally watched this at least 5 times already 😅
Instructor halfway throughthe lesson: Hey let's jump that crossrail.
Me: Is it too late reschedule my lesson? 🤣
LOL love the older equestrian looking bizarrely at the younger equestrian doing the Heartland arms out riding xDD
Great job. I love the beginner's attitude. 72 years old
I love your videos your the best my horse loves your videos two 😆
Lol as an older rider ... you nailed it!
So happy I found your channel- it makes my day.
Lmao Im glad to say I have finally transitioned from a young equestrian to an old one. Worth it.
Thanks for the laughs especially the physical comedy! I'm that older rider taking lessons!
the old fall was so accurate LOL
I love your videos please keep them up and coming ☺️
Your video is amazing - funny, informative and so relatable
You are exquisitely hilarious and right on the money! Hilarious ! ⭐️😂👌
This is hilariously accurate. I just broke my ankle on a fall- first injury in a lifetime of riding- and I feel this old rider energy so much🤣
Exactly! I don’t feel like having an unintentional dismount.
Lol 15 year old me in my competition days vs 28 year old me enjoying leisurely rides on the farm now 🤣
I really with your videos we’re longer because these are so entertaining 🤣
THIS IS SO TRUE!!!
Lol! 👍🏻. Love your videos! Insightful, helpful and entertaining.
Thank You so much.

I truly had a good laugh tyvm and enjoyed your video.❤️❤️❤️
to point A to point B xD
Ok so this is HILARIOUS! So true!
I can relate to both😂😂 I always loved the crazy horses😂
So relatable 🤣❤️
Okay why is this so accurate. I find this hilarious as I am a new rider and I admit that is exactly how I am 😂
This is a great video on that it helps me see fear behavior from a horses POV. Thank you.
I've always loved horses but now thay I've found your channel ill learn about them too ^-^
1:47 *looks at watch-less hand* " oh man a 3 hour ride?!?!"
I might be 11 but I think I’m more of the old equestrian 😂
In a kind of mix between the two of them! Haha!

Omg the “I don’t feel like falling off today,” i can relate to %100. Me with my mare 24/7/365
I think this is the most accurate thing I have ever seen
This was so funny!😂
So fun!!! Loved this xo
So trueeee! I used to have a chill quarter horse when I was younger, I would do the craziest stunts with him. Now i have a FAST OTTB, and i just pray I don’t die every ride. :)
These made my day....I'm the older and I have several younger girls that are exactly like this.
I'm 16 years old and have been riding for 11 years now and I behave like the OLD equestrian 😂
The good thing about being a young rider is that they’re up for anything and are very enthusiastic about doing it. Ngl I’m still like that sometimes, I’ll ride rain or shine, day or night. Hell, I’ll even ride bareback with a halter.

I'm 20 and I relate to all the old equestrian things haha
0:15 describes my mare 😭😂
I'm gonna need a minute : )
Hey, I'm French and I really love it! It's just so true haha
2:38 I am not able to get back on after falling I feel completely broken idk how anyone else in my class does it 💀
Sorry just a question, i'm not Native... When sb says u r a horse kid,,, what does it mean?
At 17 I relate so much to the older rider and I’m frankly feeling called tf out
When I get launched I sit and think about my life decisions
20 minutes, that was a good workout. We'll call it a day ! 😆That's me now everytime. Or even, how about we just do some groundwork today?
Im definitely an old equestrian except when it come to the rain part I don’t mind a light drizzle
wowww I'm early today!!
Awesome video!
I can relate to both sides now that I'm older than 40 y. o. Great comparison ladies.
I have a question, how is to fall? Inever fell of my horse (ive done horse riding for 3-4 years)
When you're young it's easy, when you're old IT HURTS lol!!!!
It hurts and it feels like it both happens fast and slow at the same time.
Well, gravity kind of takes care of it. Best if you can tuck a shoulder under and roll. It isn't always possible, depending on how you go off.
Ah i'm not becoming a bad equestrian, i'm just getting old😂
Me and my lesson horse have a connection………….Being I give him a candy cane and he doesn’t bite me and actually listens. Lol
Love the t-shirts ❤
LMAO I CANT WITH THIS
Lol stop 😂 that’s so funny
OMG(goodness) why is this so accurate. My fav horse is a bay with white socks and star. 😱
Heh me too^^ but for me it was the other way around. I didnt look or particular like that type of horse, but my loan horse looks exactly like that and he is the sweetest thing ever^^ so now it's my favourite horse look lol

tucker is so cute
I'm old. Not ancient but old all right. Plus sick put of saddle for now but hope to get back on after a surgery :)
BREEZY RIVER STABLES, I USED TO GO THERE
This is actually all so true 😂
I’m 40 and a mix of both. It all depends on the day and how my body is feeling. However, I’m totally the old equestrian when it comes to jumps, to the point that I decided to try barrels and poles lol

I love your videos I hope I get a horse soon!
I must admit that I can definitely see myself in the young equestrian 😂
I’m definitely the old equestrian lol even though I’m 14 I have had horses for 8 years though
