The left hand that starts out attached to the figures, in the case of these three Blood Angels, is the "holding the front section of a bolt rifle" hand, hence why it wasn't gripping the chainsword very well; one of the alternate hand options in the packaging is the sort actually intended to hold onto handles of swords securely.
I used to dream about having action figure 40K toys back in the '90s, these are great. It appears they are pretty much a base colour with thinned black sprays for the shadows, & silver dry brush/over brush for the raised details? Thx for the excellent look at these, they cost around AUD $70 each over here, so I'll probably grab a couple of my fave Chapters for nostalgias sake.
Hey there! Thanks for dropping by the channel and leaving a comment! It is a dream come true for you and me both because I too used to dream about 40K action figs and the time is now. Your assessment of the JT action figs are completely correct. Depending on the fig, some of them are worth picking up. Others have an extreme number of paint issues.
Do you have the McFarlane Chaos action figure? I could've sworn that the Blood Angels action figures should be the same size as the Chaos ones if you are talking about the same JoyToy line.
Yeah the McFarlane ones are WAY bigger than JoyToy. I'm going to shamelessly self promote here but I made a size comparison video a few months back if you want to take a look to see how tall some of these action figures are: th-cam.com/video/z9It2hpruKs/w-d-xo.html
nice review, the marines are nice and the sergeant looks great with black shoulder pads but what about the aggressor? I think mine (PO) got those dudes and 1 aggressor as well as a set?
I did receive the aggressor. However, I am going to review that action figure in a separate video as this unit does not belong in an intercessor squad.
@@SpruesNStuds btw i just knew your a blood angels fan and i got death company sets already, is it ok to put like 2 blood angels and 2 death company intercessors as a team together? i dunno anything about the lore....
@@reaganlaut746 with regards to the action figures, you can do whatever you want that makes you happy. However when you are playing the tabletop game itself, no, you cannot mix different units if you use blood angels. Death company have to remain in their own unit and regular Intercessors have to remain in their own separate unit as well.
@@SpruesNStuds Brother, i just got my blood Angels sets, it was cool, i was basking in their glory, until i noticed there's problems with my sergeant and aggressor...ok the sergeant shoulders was a mess, glue bleeds all over the place that i can clean it with alcohol but not much and the blood insignia printed torn apart, well i just calm myself and said this sergeant has goes through many battles and its just battle damage....and aggressor's right leg front armor just fall then i fixed it with super glue...seriously Joytoy....its really piss me off!!!
@@reaganlaut746 first of all, I’m glad that you got your Blood Angels. Glory be to Sanguinius! But I am disappointed to hear about the continued quality issues from JoyToy. We should not need to worry about glueing fallen parts off, cleaning glue off of places where the glue should not be, and repainting things. I think if enough of us bring these issues into light, I hope that this company would do something about this terrible situation.
Sarge is pretty sweet and highly decorated which I really like. Hmmm I’m not a son of Dorn so likely not at this point in time. My wallet is getting a hole burned through it right now trying to fund all these shiny toys lol
I see why your a fan boy of blood angels my fiance loves them to so I have to get one for her personally I'm a fan boy of iron hands and but I think on the black I think they done a dry brush so it's not as clean
Hey to each their own right?! I've been a fan of the Blood Angels ever since the 2nd edition because they were the first chapter I was ever introduced to. However, as I grew older, I appreciate the tragic lore behind the Blood Angels and how they are always trying to overcome the Red Thirst. The Primarch obviously sacrificed himself fully knowing that he would die at the hands of Horus. I just love the dense history of my favorite chapter. Anyway, yes, the people at JT do not have time to accurately dry brush the various pouches etc which sucks but I understand why. That's where I suppose you as the painter/ hobbyist improve on their mistakes.
@@SpruesNStuds yeah I don't know much on the lore yet other then ironhands, salamanders and a bit of the lamenters since I got into it almost 2 years ago maybe I wanna lore a bit on the blood angels and space wolves cause I like wolves
You are definitely going to love going down this rabbit hole. The 40k universe is insanely deep and far more fleshed out than most mainstream futuristic universes such as Star Wars

There is Blood, and there is nothing else!
Great review as always, and nice to see your excitement!
You know I love my blood angels! They are the best chapter haha! Thanks for the props again. I do my best

The second one you opened I have and I thought he would be as big as my chaos space marine figure but he's so small it's adorable
