這部影片是給我父母的禮物。.
"光之塔"是一個有關父母的故事。講述遊子追求夢想，父母就像燈塔一樣支持、看望與守護，也是自己這幾年生命經驗的寫照。
繼電腦動畫[回憶抽屜]之後，經歷幾年沈潛，有了這部新的小品之作,[光之塔]。 這次的作品是我在UCLA第一年的片子,製作期約3到4個月。雖然是2D而非3D動畫，但是這次的作品嘗試更以[故事]為主軸，希望能反璞歸真，回到動畫與影片的本質。我相信好的訴說意涵是創作的靈魂，希望樸實簡約的手繪風格，能帶給觀者更深切的共鳴，找尋最原始而單純的感動。

This film is made for my parents.
It is related to the director's own experience. The story is about parents support their children to make dreams come true. No matter what happened, parents will be always waiting for their children, just like the lighthouse forever lighting for the boats. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
現在才看懂故事背景，原來父親是燈塔守門人，孩子要讀書工作都得坐船去遠方，追求夢想的同時，也離父母越來越遠。
搜卡，所以才不能離開。我看這個真是小聲哭爆，看到他爸自己還有辦法的時候，就這樣反覆去看信箱，小孩寄的信，整場下來窩心。
純淨靈緻的配樂和線條⋯⋯
訴說生命世代的傳承
愛，永遠是我們的燈塔
不管船多大，離開得多遠，
守候著我們的，永遠是一盞不滅的，
溫暖的光
孝順父母本來就是天經地義，特別是當了父親之後，特別有很深的感觸；小時候睡前總愛聽父親說中國民間故事，現在我兒子也要我說醜小鴨的故事不可。
謝謝作者的用心，特別是那段兒子最後一次搭船離開的身影，又像是他第一次離開時一樣。因為在父母的眼中，孩子終究還是個長不大的孩子啊！
父親是燈塔，父親離開的時後燈塔的燈也滅了，直到兒子一家人又住進去，燈塔的燈才又亮起。
很棒的故事結構，很棒的隱喻。
國中老師播給我們看過，經過10年回來看，又有不同的感受⋯
很觸動人的心弦，反思自己的種種不成熟，父母的包容。
各種的關愛和呵護，真的是不管怎麼回報都覺得不夠的。
藉由影片，又讓我在一次的成長，謝謝作者。

樹欲止而風不停, 子欲養而親不在, 人生ㄚ.感謝動畫作者深刻描寫出人間親情,尤其對於一個43歲的中年男子,上有高堂,下有幼子而言,有更身的體會,遠本以為是老外做的,想不到是台灣人的創作,真是令人感動,謝謝這群創作者,太棒了!!

It is just amazing! I was crying. Then show it to my friend, she was crying. Show it to my mom...and so on. This is so warm and emotional. I feel that my heart changes a little bit after i've watched this.
我已經有一年沒哭過了，狂飆淚！趁父母仍然健在，好好對待他們！

Thank you for sharing such a beautifully put together story.. i think every person who still has a father should watch this.. we need to appreciate how much our parents care and love us.. but also the importance of giving that love back and showing appreciation. I think the message is also saying that we need to spend more time with our parents, because one day they will not be around..

It is our return to it, though, that brings it the ultimate comfort of knowing that we are safe. Love sets us apart from the lighthouse but it is also love that brings us back to it. Mon dieu... C'est la 1ère fois de toute ma vie et mon expérience humaine que j'ai pleuré en regardant une vidéo sur TH-cam. :'( :'( :'( Seuls sont qui ont perdus des proches comprendront cette douleur d'avoir été si loin et si absent... Jusqu'au moment où l'on apprend un décès, avant de le regretter jusqu'à la fin de sa vie.
