The speedometer difference is the Dashcam is reading on Mph and the Utility is reading in Kph :) It actually says when you hover your mouse pointer over it in your video at 17:08
Hi thanks very much, but what I mean is did you use the usb lead and charge it on you pc. I have just bought one and their are no actual instructions on how to charge it. Thanks for your very quick response.
Mark Rayton No, I used one of my own leads (Mini USB cable). Charging is pretty simple. Simply plug the Mini USB end into the dashcam, and the other end can be plugged into any USB port (PC, or a USB plug). Hope this helps. The screen on the dashcam will show the battery level.
Nice tutorial. How did you power up the device in your house to charge it for the first time as it states it needs charging for two hours before first use.
Mark Rayton Thank you :) I opened the box and charged the dashcam for 2 hours first. Then put it back in the box to do the 'unboxing' part of the video so I could show it working.
hi , can you help me with a query , I've just got this dashcam for xmas and when I press the red button for tagging a clip I don't get a bleep and I cant see anything that stands out saying its a saved clip when I download to my computer , is that normal ? or am I doing something wrong ?
David Culshaw Hi, as far as I'm aware, the button on the bottom right corner is the 'SOS button' and it protects the clip from being overwritten. I've had a quick look through online manuals however I can't find anything that says there should be a 'beep' or 'mark' over the file when you connect it to the computer. When I get a chance, I'll try find out more info for you. Problem I have is I only have the products for a week then I have to return them, so I can't look at the one I had. But I'll try find out for you.
Hi again, I've actually bought this dashcam for my own car and so I've had more time to play around with it. Basically, you press the red button if you wish to save that particular clip. When you plug the SD Card into your pc and open the files you'll see 2 folders (Protected & Video). The folder called 'Video' is where you'll find every clip it's saved. In the 'Protected' folder is where you'll find those clips where you pressed the red button. The way it works is the dashcam will record & save a clip every 5 minutes and saves it in the 'Video' folder. Then when it's full it starts to overwrite the oldest video, thus never really running out of memory. So by protecting the clip it saves it a different folder in which the software can't overwrite it. In terms of the actual 'beep', you might have sounds turned off. In which case, on the dashcam go into settings and there should be an option to turn sounds back on. Hope this helps.
I bought this dashcam and was disappointed with the playback and picture quality. I imagined that pic/video quality would be as good as the camera on a mobile phone but it wasn't.
Hi, when you're using your dashcam on the screen what resolution is it showing that it's recording in? If you go into settings, there is an option called 'Resolution' if you click that you can change it, it should be on the maximum which is 1080p, anything lower than that then you won't get a very good picture quality at all. It also depends on the actual memory card you're using too. A slow card (Read and Write speed) means the dashcam can't record the video in the select resolution because the memory card can't 'keep up'. Easiest was to check is on the memory card it would say what 'class' it is. Currently you should be looking at a 'Class 10'. Hope this helps.
Hi, That's because I only have a product for a few days before I had to return it. So not a lot of time to really get used to everything but thought enough to do a review so others can at least see it in action and the results.

How about learning to use it before you try and teach others ?
