I have recently gotten one of these and it improves the quality of the gopro picture purely by amazing stabalization. This video is a perfect demonstration of what it can do! :)
Awesome edit! Did you edit in a 1080p 60fps timeline + squeeze your 2.7k footage to fit it? Also, what were your export settings before uploading to youtube? I'm asking because the quality of your footage is really good!
Thank man. It was a 2.7k 30p timeline, as most of the footage was shot in 2.7K 30p and it was the 1080p that was upscaled on occasion. But I can't remember the export settings, sorry. Since it was graded in Photoshop/ACR I suspect I might have removed the chroma noise, but not the luma noise to keep the organic look. Also, no sharpening. And the particular combination of LUTs as described, they made a ton of difference!
+sven berkhout Didn't care about it too much, actually, so no particular protection except for a simple lens cap when the gopro was on the gimbal. I may have fallen once or twice with the gimbal but it was fine. I don't baby my gear too much.
Jack Obrien It's in the description - most wide shots were shot at 2.7K30p Medium, selected wide shots at 2.7K30p Wide, other people and distant landscapes at 1080p60 Narrow and myself riding/POV at 1080p SuperView. By default I use 2.7K30p Medium
very nice video BUT your schutter was wrong it was too schort for 24fps, the motion feel shaky and unreal. With schutter like 1/50 of the sec you would get smoother motion and more motion blure
Great to see that the guys who ride real snowboards like back in the day are still around :D
For such a simple ski video, this has really great production value. Nice work.
Cool footage and edit👍

What did you do about wet conditions? What do you use for protection with the GoPro? Thanks for helping!

what kind of helmet mount is that?
이기태 Search for "gopro extension arm", I used the plastic curved one.
прикольно)
how do you film shots like at 1:31
Look up "gopro extention arm", that's what I'd used. Mine is plastic, curved, about 25 cm long.
what kind of board is that?
xpopxeyex Voelkl Renntiger GS 173
can you ride it on switch?
How has the gimbal been since? Still holding up?
+R Umlas Yup, though the thumbscrews do show some wear and tear. That why I would get the G4S version now, which wasn't available at the time.
What did you shoot at? 1080

Feiyu Tech G4 is a pole... how do you adapt it to a helmet ?
For the POV shots the gimbal wasn't used
