- We finally start back up on our 1990 Peterbilt 379 exhd. project. This truck is getting a full custom interior. The dash is all painted up and now its time to tackle making the templates for the new interior! This old girl is an oldie... but a goodie! We can't wait to see what this thing looks like all finished up!!

Use corrugated plastic (yard sale sign material) instead of cardboard. Water proof, yet sturdy as well as flexible. Can buy a 4x8 sheet at lowes for $30. Just thought I'd give ya a tip
How about a bio on how you got into the business and bought your 1st truck and what your hauling this old broke down retired driver would love to here that and I am glad to see young American men like you in the business. keep the shiny side up and keep doing what your doing 🚚🚌🚌

Old trucks are better than the news ones
Cooler but definitely not better. I would take my 389 glider with the 6nz, modern heat, AC,power windows and locks any day over a refurbished old and uncomfortable truck. My windshield wipers work flawlessly, all the interior lights work, etc. I ran a beautiful 96 379 and it just had too many small issues that added up to make me dislike it.
Live in that 36 and you will change your mind

How many yards of leather did it take for cab and sleeper on the 379 pete.

Never risk wire harness issues.
They can burn your truck down or break down and cost thousands.
Always always replace the whole harness if you know how or have time.
We are going to go through the whole wiring on this truck!!

Leave the big sleeper on it
Once you get the headliner off take time to go over the wiring for the roof lights and the air lines for the air horns. Insulate it also.
Oh yes! Working is like a rats nest in there! We are going to go over all wiring!

Keep in mind that the leather is going to add size when you wrap it around the edges, if your templates fit snug now it wont fit when the leather is on.
That is true! Had to trim down the panel a little more!
Put that fancy wood floors in the cab and sleeper

Technical term is bunk extenders ment to improve gas mileage by bridging the gap between the truck and trailer but with the stretched frame they are useless really

Throttle linkage is only small hime joints an small bar stock fab ur own

@@allz3garage627 u can get stainless bar stock as well drill or lath a hole in the ends an tap threads in it with lock nuts as well
You can come down to crestline, to carrols truck parts they should have have the throttle linkage. If they don’t I know another junkyard you guys can go .
