Hey there. Greetings and thumbs up from Ukraine. FYI mutant skinning was in the original trilogy even without mods - mods only made it better (in Original only 1 certain piece could've been torn of the mutant, mods added variability and animations) As for the cat, just yesterday encountered one on Junkyard and it was pretty interesting experience - it not only meow'd, it reproduced various voices of stalkers, bandits and soldiers, also near it I had a sleepy state (so exhaustion is a thing in Stalker 2) and if the Cat is near and you do not fill your ass up with energy drinks, you fall asleep for 1-2 seconds and in this moment the Cat attacks. Also, this little sh..t can open doors! Cheers
Lack of night vision, no Alife, and a voiced protagonist with an American accent. of course its American, like it always is....ruins it for me. I should have expected this game to be dumbed down rubbish for consoles.

Yea I uninstalled. I could deal with the bugs but no A-life makes it feel like another Ubisoft game. The A-Life feels present in story quests but I have a progression breaking bug that hasn't been fixed yet even with the latest patch
Yeah, he was saying they were cut content in the original games and added back in with mods, and he was wondering what cut content in Stalker 2 will be added back through mods in the future.
I know Stalker was initially made for the “surviving alone” experience, I mean the faction Stalkers really are a part of are nicknamed “Loners”. But I would love a Mod or Update where there is a multiplayer co-op option. Exploring The Zone with my friends would be absolutely incredible.
I imagine it would be very performance heavy especially if players werent close to each other. Hell it took modders until right before stalker 2 came out to get stalker multiplayer to a playable state
@@niffirg1113 That's because X-Ray Engine is hellish to modify for that kind of feature. Those code wizards had to manually write the entire multiplayer part of the game to support coop. In Unreal Engine 5 it will be way easier to implement once we get modding tools due to how simple blueprints system really is.
Its typical GSC. Shadow of Chernobyl didnt have a artifact detector, youd just find them randomly sitting on the ground or rolling down a hill. Clear Sky removed mutant skinning, and didnt have a stamina bar until after modders put it in. But i also see people saying that Stalker 2 is trying to dumb down the series, and make it all about shootouts, but i dont think they actually played Clear Sky.
#1 for me has to be the ability to maintain my own guns in the field, having to trek all the way to a hub just to clean and oil a gun is incredibly annoying. skif literally demonstrates competency at reassembling guns but wants to act like he's got enough koupons to burn by only having them professionally maintained. followed by any reason to do more than run from mutants. just not worth the effort.
Yeah some sort of weapon repair kit you can buy from a vendor for a moderate price would probably solve this issue. But I feel it's the main loop of the game where it's forcing you to go back or just drop the guns to scavenge for other guns etc.
In the original games you could loot mutant parts from monsters and sell them, skinning them was in Anomaly/Gamma. None of the original games had multi player option. I really miss being able to select how long I sleep, and having night-vision goggles.
So in Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, there was no skinning animation but you could access the inventory of certain mutants and get their parts like Bloodsucker tentacles, they weren’t guaranteed, and also some mutants like poltergeist and controllers didn’t have any drops at all
I would like to be able to loot coupons. Either in the world or off of enemies. Also, some form of transportation. They could make it have an actual gas tank that needs to be topped off to keep going. Like having to siphon gas from an old gas station or other vehicles.
everyone asking about night vision, thermal, binoculars........THERES NO POINT IN HAVING THEM IN CURRENT STATE. A-LIFE 2.0 is not active, its bugged to high hell. theres zero pint in being able to see ahead when all the enemies spawn behind you. once they fix a-life im sure every feature we had in the OG trilogy wil be back.
What I think is genuinely missing from Stalker 2 is mutant hunting and skinning. That would give a reason for players to want to fight mutants, rather than run away from them. Not having night vision goggles seems strange at best.
There is something thematically on-point to the way mutants are right now - there is NO REASON to fight mutants, so just avoid those fights if at all possible. This isn't an RPG where you grind for XP. Mutants are 100% a resource sink, so don't do them. Run away. This is the lesson.
Shadow of Chernobyl had mutant parts and you could actually take missions for them (Sidorovich would ask for dog tail, boar hoof, etc) Clear Sky mutants were lootable but parts were removed from the loot tables entirely. Call of Pripyat made mutants completely unlootable.
I mostly miss stuff from the OG games. Having name and faction displayed when looting bodies. Stalker and Bandit groups looting bodies after a fight. nvg in helmet and nvg optics for guns. more options for optics. more radio chatter and able to participate in random events. and definitely more random encounters, the world feels totally empty and it's like a running simulator at this point.
You can't admit something so incredibly stupid and not tell us how manys hours you are in game before realizing that, a pop up literally pops up on the screen and tells you the button, up on dpad, or if memory serves me its T on keyboard. I game on controller so I know the keyboard one cuase 30 idiots think telling people is actually a tip.
@skeeter3969 yeah cause telling someone is the tip idiot. Its from their personal experience. Its not their fault you game like a pussy. And some people like me changed all their default keys on the intro mission before they entered the zone, and if you do that you dont get anymore pop ups of the default keys. So i literally cant edit my gun outside of my backpack unless i restore defaults, which i wont and im ok with that. Cool feature, but ill never use it anyway.
i hate the idea of weapon parts as the condition system works fine as it is and theres no need to play 5d chess with weather i can get my weapon to shoot right or not..... ALSO as far as missing features at least on console from the trilogy i want to be able to move between inventory panles with (RS)
I'd love to have a data base that recorded everything you kill an go into detail about anomalies and mutants, even factions. Binoculars would be nice night vision and thermal but make it to wear you need battery and there hard to find or create. Plus the ability to fix your gun with a cleaning kit ans spare parts if you fix it before it gets below 75%
Got the latest Gamma version.... got my Zone back. Nice being able to see things before you arrive, instead of things just spawning in when you get there. Also really miss the 'freelook' for the mouse in S2. Used that a lot. When there's actual A-life you can see things off in the distance when you do look side to side. Probably why the devs took it out of S2... they don't want you to notice the missing A-life. Plus the shadows in the OG games when storms happen.... all we get in S2 are flashes of light... The lightning makes no shadows. Not to mention the other lighting effects like sunrays that actually look good in the OG titles, but look like something from the 80's in S2.
NV and Binoculars are in the game data in the game, just not in the game currently. Big reason is A-life is yet working correctly. There bubble around your character which hit spawn timers on limited amount of NPCs. rest of the world is frozen. They focused on the XBox playable game. So some things cut as they switch off their own custom engine into Unreal 5. So they still making the game with current limitations. At some point down the road, they will get this system working. The Devs stated no multiplayer for this game. It will stay single player only.
I ABSOLUTLEY HATE that we have to have our game DUMBED DOWN for CONSOLE fucking players.. And thank god at least there will be no goddamn multiplayer thats one bit of good news . But yea we would have a much smoother release, and binocs and night vision if devs didnt have to dumb down the graphics for potato consoles i hate that lol
@ last decade that how game developers work. Consoles have more sales then pc typically, hell mobile apps make more money then consoles & PCs combined. Id, Unreal and CryEngine all start trying to max pc graphics, until they realized more sales in consoles, Been that way for years. Starfield another example of optimized first for Xbox and after thought of pcs. It’s the M$ way. Sony no better. Still patches are good. They are actually improving for both.
@@Gryllus2501 "last decade that how game developers work and its ruining games, Consoles ruined battlefield now they are runing Stalker, all in the name of greed. I wont be buying this game at all, GSC can take their shitty console game and get fucked with it.
Missing features I want; Ability to sleep in any bed or bedroll spread around the areas. Be able to survive Emissions other ways than trying to run to nearest building, praying it meets the requirements. Buy repair kits to repair gear out in the field (Mod exists that does the same) More stamina, I mean, stalkers are like sherpas of the zone, it makes no sense for me that you run for 10m and you are exhausted. Add some kind of NPC at certain areas that provides fast travel other than bases. Maybe add the ability to create a shelter somehow.
Imho the best mod you can get is modular hard mode. I like to be punished in games like this coming from gamma and tarkov so when I started up veteran for the first time and realised its way too easy and you get bombarded by consumables I felt the game didn't feel challenging at all. I use the hardcore setting along with all of the other modules (armour, weapons, evenlessloot) but it has a few options. Others I'd recommend alongside it are alife extended hostile mode, medkit and consumable rebalance, even longer days 12 hour version, readable ammo, better physics and mutant loot like you mentioned with the MHM mutant loot hardcore mod also added to balance the prices. All of these combined make the game feel a little bit closer to what I envisioned the game to be, a tough but rewarding experience. We are a long way out from a true overhaul mod but that is what I truly want, but I am loving the game so far and honestly think GSC smashed it out of the park all things considered.
Ive not played the originals, but i think some kind of death cam would be a great addition. There has been dozens of times when i havent a clue what was killing me after multiple attempts.
I would like to be able to move bodies, stack boxes, etc. Also hunt for meat and grill it. Weapon degradation should really be barrel changes. And maybe gun cleaning / lubing, but the real guns degradation it mostly barrel. Also ability to be crouching or lying down for sniping.
I hope they bring back the binoculars, some people say they removed it for now because ALife is not working but once they fix it it should be back, also in the og trilogy the curser would turn yellow or green or red depending on what are your relations with the person you're aiming at, for some reason in stalker 2 the cursor turns green when you're pointing at enemies and this happens to no other npcs
It's not that a life is broken, a life as we understand it doesn't exist in-game. As far as I can tell, they are basically just really fancy radial spawns that require the player to get within a certain distance to confirm their activation. Source is modders who've been trying to add back in A-Life. Sorry to say, but what makes stalker unique is no longer in the game
Lootable mutants was something absent from Call of Pripyat, the (previously) most recent title. It was probably 'left out' because it contextualized the mutants in a way the designers felt wasn't suitable for their intentions. If there is code for mutant looting, it is either because all NPCs share the same feature set, or they were playing with the idea during development but arrived at the same conclusion they had in Call of Pripyat. The Zone, as it were, is a character unto itself. Anomalies and mutants are a part of the zone. The ONLY thing in the zone that is of any interest are the artifacts. Everything else you want comes from outside in. Mutants? They're a resource sink. You don't WANT to kill mutants. Not because it is a moral question, but because it's a waste of ammo. You want to AVOID mutants, similar to the way you want to avoid anomalies. Think of mutants as anomalies that can move, AND you have an option to stop their movement (death). It's not worth your time unless you can not escape, or presumably have something more valuable to grab (nearby artifact/quest). If mutants were valuable to kill in and of themselves there would be one correct answer to every single engagement - kill. Not interesting.
need to make the flashlight much brighter, but also add back master stalker mode -lights and pda drain power and require expensive batteries -less consumables spawn -headshots are ≈ 1 shots -carry weight drastically effects speed/stamina -night danger similar to fan mods like anomaly
Features i'd like modded out/in Ability to go prone Remove the knockdown effect mutants give (or let us shoot while on our backs to prevent dogpiling?) Completely rework gun modding and upgrading (make it like Gamma idfk just get rid of the current mess) Night vision goggles (provide different types/makes/models and have them findable in stashes or locked gated rooms)
they need to add night vison goggles and binoculars after they fix a-life. but i would really like to see the addition of magazine check and fire mode check animations for people that play with the hud disabled. a bit more survival mechanics like magazine/ammo management and a better med system so that you have to make more preparations before venturing into the zone would make the game more immersive. oh and a variety of flashlights that you can upgrade to and weapon lights would be cool too.
I miss these features, but more important are changes to core gameplay mechanics. l So the whole Economy in S2 iand gameplay loop is broken! You move 5 meters in the zone and have to come back and leave 20 000 - 30 000 for repairs, and rewards from artifacts and stashes are ridiculously small. So basically everybody are hording enemy weapons back and forth, again and again instead of exploring and looking for artifacts which supposed to be the whole essence of being a Stalker !!!! Devs need to think what is the core of these game. I don't mind hight prices for upgrades and repairs, but these game need changes like: - Give cash rewards in stashes and on enemies so there is a reason to fightem and loot them. - Give higher cash reward for artifacts (recent patch makes it better only slightly) - Give some lootable elements on dead mutants (like tissue samples) so we can sell them and there is reason to hunt them. - Then lower the money for selling guns. so there is no reason to carry all these junk. !
Artifacts gave a good amount I was regularly getting 10-15k an artifact and was getting some that were 20-30k they also respawn more frequently then other games (not sure if that’s intended) you can 100% make easy money with artifacts. You could definitely say things degraded to fast and were a bit expensive but moneys not as hard to come by like a lot of people are saying. I feel like after the update things were tilted a bit too much in the other direction, you make almost too much money now. I pretty much fully upgraded all of my weapons and armor at the start my first or second time being a the main town in lesser zone on veteran… Same with mutant damage and health, first played on stalker and they were too spongy and did Hella damage (this I’m fine with) now in veteran they don’t do any where near as much damage and I’m 2-3 tapping bloodsuckers with early game shot guns and not even a mag from SMG, when you got mid to late game on previous patch mutants started dropping way easier, It’s going to be nothing now before mid game even.
So far the patch has increased the amount of money you get from selling artifacts and also from missions you do. It's given me a reason specifically to go out and also keep doing more side missions. The confusing part is how the game tells you how much your gun is worth. But each vendor gives you different prices that are nowhere as close to what it tells you. This could confuse tons of new players but I'm sure some of these things will get fixed eventually.
faction warfare mode with a proper display how your relation is and npc should have a tag with there faction tied to there name. First they need to fix AI-life.
Stalker has always been like this, features being added and removed from game to game, only with misery, coc and anomaly that the zone came to be this truly living breathing eco system. As for features, besides fixing alife, adding the weapon lubricants and repair kits from anomaly.
I want to sort my stash and inventory how I want it with the ability to rotate items. I'm a little OCD when it comes to my video game stash. Also extend the gear box stash window.
Possibly at some point I might do this! Majority of these videos are meant to be a mix of both my experience and also some talking points sprinkled in since I like talking quite a bit.
a car ...would obviously be nice (later in the game) a brighter flashlight (as upgrade to find/buy) nightvision zoom levels for scopes at least on sniperrifles (one/two additional levels would be enough) binoculars some items being lighter melee and jumping not using stamina (or a lot less) climbing over stuff thats chest height or even climb a wall a real person could... mutant skinning would be good, otherwise why waste time fighting them when you can run and those psi anomalies that spawns fake enemies and ghost chasing you need to be fixed ...happened to me that even after healing and being far away it came back and didn't stop had to reload a save before that ...psi blockers could also last a bit longer
-A car wouldn't fit into stalker In fact it was a cut content for a reason who would drive in a place filled with anomalies -not a bad idea but NVG is in stalker just not stalker 2 -agreed -yes, this was in the OG trilogy just not in stalker 2 Probably because of the bad render distance -you already have a flashlight this isn't metro -no, that would remove the survival experience -yes, they have vaulting but idk why they didn't make it chest level -this was in Stalker shadow of Chernobyl, just not in stalker 2 adding it back would be good -that's the point of the anomaly
For my mod I’m trying to port over Stalker 1 voice lines. I find it difficult to differentiate between NPCs. Loners, Freedom, Military, Bandits have Ukrainian voices (sound a lot better than their Ru counterpart) in the OG which I downloaded separately and with Duty, Merc and Monolith had exclusively Russian so it’ll have to do. And yes I will be porting over CHEEKI BREEKI!. All factions can only fit 4 lines of combat audio for each trigger unfortunately. Like reload, flank, findenemy etc. Big step down from the OGs. Wwise (converts to WEM files) also limits trial version to 200 conversions which I’m running out of so don’t think I’ll be able get all done before I run out of conversions 😭.
i'd like to see my quick slots staying the same instead of getting different items after getting hit...like wanting to get a bandage but that got replaced with an energy drink....dupe super super super anoying

And after delete all of my saves including that 1 manual save….., that’s where I regret everything…….. and the only solution to fix it is to restart the game. Soo yeah you get the idea and which is why we all need to spam the ticket to prevent this happening since I’ve seen alot in the internet
I've also heard that some folks are running into issues relating to the further you get in the story the worse the bugs including unable to save the game and bricking saves.
@ at least just after lesser zone and just discovered the town in garbage but last time i got until encounter the ward leader before I started a new game for different purpose
I noticed this is a thing now in games. Starfield you can run at NPCs and you just move aside while Skyrim you ran at them and they would fall down and curse you out. NPCs had lives they lived in Skyrim and went home and sleep while in Starfield they stand around 24/7. Why is this happening....my theory is that it drives modding. NGL here it would be a beautiful thing is the NOT woke GSC were to explain the why. Todd Howard....LOL that guys lives in HIS world where he does no wrong and you cant even ask him questions. Ask this of GSC so we can all put this aside!
Too bad the AI isn't as good as in the free older modded Stalker game you can get like Stalker GAMMA and other versions, the AI seems more alive and dynamic, they actually roam around and do their own thing or hunt you down and their tactics in a fight are better, unlike Stalker 2 where they just spawn in the near distance, if they could bring over the older Stalker games AI it would be much more immersive, maybe modders will be able to do it?
you know what they forgot to add? gunpowder to the fucking bullets! I had an unarmored bandit take 2 headshots from an AK and a bloodsucker soak up two AK mag just to slaughter me like a flesh!
Dude, the game gets so difficult the further in you get. NPC’s are spawning with such strong armor, and I’m only playing on stalker difficulty… I’m terrified to just roam now like you are lol! Every gun fight could cost me so much money LMAO! Even with the Nerf! Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s completely fair how much it cost to repair things, but the enemies that will randomly spawn are either heavily armoured monolith, or just a resource dumping beast. Has anyone noticed a life running a bit better? I’m finding more random fights breaking out, as well as more beasts and stalkers just walking a path through the zone.. ? I’m not sure if they did any repairs to this but it’s starting to feel lived in and like more stalkers are just walking around doing your thing?
So I've been told that the A-life is disabled and it's just normal enemy spawning which is interesting. BUT yeah I've noticed slowly but surely it's gonna start getting harder at least in my experience.

Yea I uninstalled. I could deal with the bugs but no A-life makes it feel like another Ubisoft game. The A-Life feels present in story quests but I have a progression breaking bug that hasn't been fixed yet even with the latest patch
Cats are in the game though? Maybe I didn't listen right but the cut cats from the OG trilogy are indeed in stalker 2
They are, yes. And they're cool
yea, they are in the game. Those cats make you hear voices of fallen stalkers

I just need the performance to not be broken. Crashing and the massive slowdowns that need a restart, mods barely help.
I know Stalker was initially made for the “surviving alone” experience, I mean the faction Stalkers really are a part of are nicknamed “Loners”. But I would love a Mod or Update where there is a multiplayer co-op option. Exploring The Zone with my friends would be absolutely incredible.
everyone will shit and giggle, nah, it would take out that experience of loneliness
The problem is, veterans of the game will tell you its not about survival... It's single player shooter. Like half life.
Apparently a few guys found the code for binoculars and NVGs. GSC just cut it from the game. So it should be added later
Ahh figures LOL
There was a PvP multiplayer arena in SoC and CoP
parts for gear upgrades and quality/tool kits to be able to perform higher level upgrades/mods/repairs/cooking/brewing
Looting coupons would be cool.
The crawlspace by the tornado is the way to pripyat or a way. The thing u couldnt shoot or bolt away on the ground was a placement icon
Ahhh okay gotcha thank you for the info!
everyone asking about night vision, thermal, binoculars........THERES NO POINT IN HAVING THEM IN CURRENT STATE. A-LIFE 2.0 is not active, its bugged to high hell. theres zero pint in being able to see ahead when all the enemies spawn behind you. once they fix a-life im sure every feature we had in the OG trilogy wil be back.
They need to add a merchant that sells 7.62x39 ammo. Every other ammo is buyable even for the gauss gun.
I seen gauss gun attachments too! Can't wait to get my hands on that gun

Shadow of Chernobyl had mutant parts and you could actually take missions for them (Sidorovich would ask for dog tail, boar hoof, etc)
Clear Sky mutants were lootable but parts were removed from the loot tables entirely.
Call of Pripyat made mutants completely unlootable.
@@raidermaxx2324it was in vanilla bruh, care to use google before saying something incorrect with such confidence?
I mostly miss stuff from the OG games. Having name and faction displayed when looting bodies. Just save just before you place the last scanner
At 0:56 how did you attach the silencer and red dot outside of your backpack? I didnt know you could do that

You can't admit something so incredibly stupid and not tell us how manys hours you are in game before realizing that, a pop up literally pops up on the screen and tells you the button, up on dpad, or if memory serves me its T on keyboard.
@swordlion294 yup, no wonder, T is my backpack. I changed all my default keys before i even entered the zone.
i hate the idea of weapon parts as the condition system works fine as it is and theres no need to play 5d chess with weather i can get my weapon to shoot right or not.....
Worth noting that a number of cut content items were added to the game by mods that were created long before Anomaly and Gamma.
It seems like the weather is always Cloudy thats why the game looks the way it does, hope they add more variations of different weather scenarios.
So they dumbed down the game for consoles. great.

I wont be buying this game at all, GSC can take their shitty console game and get fucked with it.
Missing features I want;
Ability to sleep in any bed or bedroll spread around the areas.
Be able to survive Emissions other ways than trying to run to nearest building, praying it meets the requirements.
Buy repair kits to repair gear out in the field (Mod exists that does the same)
More stamina, I mean, stalkers are like sherpas of the zone, it makes no sense for me that you run for 10m and you are exhausted.
Add some kind of NPC at certain areas that provides fast travel other than bases.
Maybe add the ability to create a shelter somehow.
I want more gasmask animations, mutant harvesting, more gun maintenance, free look, low crouch, and lots more guns.
Nvgs and fishing I think would be freaking awesome
fishing in a nuclear fallout? why not
I would add partial repair opportunity.
I honestly want binoculars so badly man. I can only scope so much LOL
@Eridium2 i also hope they remove the thing that makes you hold the quick access buttons to perform f2 and f4 things, it's soo annoying
Bro I wish I could free look around that's my biggest thing I want Idk why it makes me feel 10x more immersed
need to make the flashlight much brighter, but also add back master stalker mode
-lights and pda drain power and require expensive batteries
-less consumables spawn
-headshots are ≈ 1 shots
-carry weight drastically effects speed/stamina
-night danger similar to fan mods like anomaly
Brighter flashlight is probably gonna be on my list. Or at least have a headlight helm INCREASE the brightness so you have a reason to get or use one.
Rhino is THE most efficient way of spending 9x39 ammunition, my main pistol carry and Skif's pistol as my fallback option
Features i'd like modded out/in
Ability to go prone
Remove the knockdown effect mutants give (or let us shoot while on our backs to prevent dogpiling?)
Completely rework gun modding and upgrading (make it like Gamma idfk just get rid of the current mess)
Night vision goggles (provide different types/makes/models and have them findable in stashes or locked gated rooms)
Getting knocked down will definitely get annoying after a while for sure
they need to add night vison goggles and binoculars after they fix a-life. but i would really like to see the addition of magazine check and fire mode check animations for people that play with the hud disabled. a bit more survival mechanics like magazine/ammo management and a better med system so that you have to make more preparations before venturing into the zone would make the game more immersive. oh and a variety of flashlights that you can upgrade to and weapon lights would be cool too.
I miss these features, but more important are changes to core gameplay mechanics. l
So the whole Economy in S2 iand gameplay loop is broken!
I don't mind hight prices for upgrades and repairs, but these game need changes like:
- Give cash rewards in stashes and on enemies so there is a reason to fightem and loot them.
- Give higher cash reward for artifacts (recent patch makes it better only slightly)
- Give some lootable elements on dead mutants (like tissue samples) so we can sell them and there is reason to hunt them.
YES! I loved the faction warfare mode in the stalker mods. That was the most fun I had picking a group and just exploring around
Surviving skills such as skinning absolutely must be in this game!
Stalker has always been like this, features being added and removed from game to game, only with misery, coc and anomaly that the zone came to be this truly living breathing eco system. As for features, besides fixing alife, adding the weapon lubricants and repair kits from anomaly.
There was a rare artifact at the end of the train car where you killed that poltergeist in green gas.
We def need something from mutants to make back some of the cost for killing them...right now they r just ammo dumps.
