  • What happens inside us when we get angry or jealous because other people are doing better than us? What can we do when our ambitions and goals are not being achieved according to our timetable? And how can we reach for the stars but still be happy if we only catch the moon?
    In today's podcast episode, I talk about the 5 obstacles to peace and happiness when other people around us are doing better, or when we are not doing as well as we'd like. And, I talk about how to overcome each of them so that nothing can stop us from having a joyful life.
    Please enjoy other episodes where I share meditation techniques, tips and spiritual lessons from around the world for peaceful and stress-free living. Remember to subscribe to stay up-to-date.

    We came into this world with nothing and that is exactly what we will live with..
    I have had a lot, and I have had nothing. I would be happy with less of everything. All we need are shelter, food, water (coffee!) and transportation and occasionally medical care. The more you have, the more you have to worry about.
    And you have to learn to cheer for the people who are winning, by doing it earnestly. But pray for the ones living big off dirty money. I don't even pay attention to them. I haven't watched anything but TH-cam since May 2020. I have relearned everything the past 4 yrs!

    As an older person I have what I need and my wants are pretty much non existence because I have what I need. I've become more compassionate and non judgemental. It makes life spiratially simple and easier on the physical body. Growing old bring gracefulness and gratitude.

    Your messages are so helpful and appreciated. I want to acknowledge while listening to this episode, you made me realize that while I have never compared my life in terms of power, money, status, and consumer consumption, lately I have been comparing my life against others who have been able to retire before me, and the negative impacts of that envy have been the same as if I was envying someone's high salary and fancy car. Thank you for this much needed wake up call to quit comparing their journeys to my own. ❤

    Slow to the stillness of the path towards your innate wild potential. Failure is an ingredient for the soil & necessary part of your foundation, each misstep is full of abundant lessons & wisdom woven in. I am proud of you;

    Why do we judge our life by others success? Because that’s what we have been conditioned to believe. We work so hard to out do each other. You can find happiness, joy, love of nature and life, and God, Source, Higher Self, whatever you want to call it when you live with much less. When you to find those things then that’s all you want.

    May I say that as a recent subscriber of your channel, I appreciate the change in tempo of your speaking. Much less staccato & enjoyable.😊 Your message is right on & definitely needed at this time. The options of available ways to get distracted are just mind-boggling. As an artist, focus & getting in the flow are crucial to finding one's way. The masters & our ancestors had that advantage & thus achieved so much. The struggle is real but we can prevail. Gratitude for your channel Todd✨

    In the realm of karma (action), the mind and the universal mind stand as pivotal forces, influencing every action. The choice is yours-to embrace the limitations of the individual mind or to transcend to the expansive realm of the universal mind.
    In ignorance, one remains bound by the limitations of the individual mind, while wisdom opens the door to the vast and limitless universe. This choice transcends the realms of the hypothetical and the real, resonating deeply in the mental and spiritual spheres.
    Break free from the constraints of the mental world and immerse yourself in the boundless, blissful world of the universal mind.

    mind and universal mind are two things reason for all karma ( action ) ...any action this two are the reason .you have the choice to take either mind or universal mind ..either be ignorant or wise ... either in hypothetical or true world.... how long you all accepted in mental world .... break from this and tap in to endless blissful world ....
