Not only was the reveal at the beginning epic it was also smart. Getting a new sponsor in winners top 8 neutralizes the potential of a sponsor curse. Not gonna what team tho just go check out the video opening if u haven’t already since it isn’t on the YT vod.
That game 4 laser shot was suppose to land Zomba the victory. Heard Gimr say it takes 120 frames to recharge laser. But that down smash had lag when it hit Spargo and lag frames don't count as recharging frames. 8 frames later and it would fully recharge. That right there was a shitty moment for Zomba.
I always pick on Zomba for being a salt-machine, but he played incredibly well at this tournament. I don't believe he's ever Sparg0 to game 5 and much less to a last stock situation. Great games!

Stage bans and order are not universal, but iirc, say player 1 wins a game against player 2. Next game : P1 bans 2 stages P2 chooses a stage P2 chooses their character And either P1 chooses afterwards or they can’t change characters I have never been to a tournament but I am pretty sure that’s the general process PS I just thought, there’s no way P1 can character-counterpick P2 right ? If s1 knows please tell me how stuff really goes in that regard
