- One of the things I love most about exploring Utah's west desert is that its history and origins are full of overland experiences. Native Americans, Pioneers, Miners, Homesteaders, Farmers, and Pony Express Trail riders all have roots in exploring this incredible area.

Winter camping is a premium time to get out. Deep Creeks are beautiful, but especially covered in snow. Great video Jared. Keep'em coming.
Nothing like a snow covered mountain range as a backdrop to perfect a trip!
I was out on the Pony Express trail today - went almost to Black Rock station before I had to turn around for time. SO MANY side roads to explore. I was looking for future camping spots for my kids. Lots of options.
Hundreds of options!
Looks like a cool area to explore. Winter is really the only time in popular areas to find solitude. Often it is the best time to be in those areas because the snow changes the entire feel of places. Maybe it is the solitude.... Thanks for the video! George.
While I think this area is pretty year round having the snow ❄️ completely elevated the scenery. I agree winter is the I my way to get places like this to yourself which is a worthy effort.
I love winter camping in the west desert. I camped in the snow at Black Mountain last weekend. I like the Goshute mountains near Wendover quite a bit.
It’s my go to place to camp in the winter!
Great area to explore. Was in the needles district last March and loved it. Thanks for sharing.
Needles district is so stunning!!
Awesome video, as always! I love that trip out past Callao into the Deep Creeks! So much to explore! So much to do! And a great place to "get away" from it.
Deep creek range is so beautiful! I love just how remote the area is as well.
@@BackroadExploration I did the whole drive with my kids all in one day several years ago: South Jordan to Wendover on the Pony Express road, through Gold Hill. Definitely whetted my appetite for more. I need about three days from Vernon to Gandy, then down to Baker and back up 93 to Wendover. My first trip out there was as a kid with my dad: he'd wired some wells for a ranch or a farm or something out there, and had to go out and see how they were running. We spend the whole day coming back East on the Pony Express route. What a place!!!
What a gorgeous area. Started looking at the Deep Creek Range on Google Earth. Not a huge range but the peaks are big. Looks like a great place to explore. Too bad there aren't many roads up into the mountains though that I could see anyway.
It’s beautiful. The Deep Creek range sadly has very few trails you can checkout due to wilderness designation.
