Apparently, Peter Cetera wrote this song in his head, while riding his motorcycle down the 405 Freeway from Los Angeles to Newport Beach, in Orange County for a date with a woman. He then later rushed home and wrote it down to become the song we know and love.
One of my favorite songs from Chicago, and I didn't even know the name of the song. Embarrassing but true.
