loving the videos.. really don't worry about 'rambling on' your bits to camera are great.. amazing you ran into some mississippians up there and some interesting alternative shelters (but if it's got a heater.. why the hell not)! keep 'em coming and ATB

I have a good friend who lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and she literally has moose in her yard often! I’m glad you finally got to see some!

Hi found you videos by accident and joined on the stretch to Charma, Really enjoying your trip. Should have been out in 2020 too, but had to cancel , also us Brits still cant fly so no 2021.Fingers crossed for 2022. I tend to hike solo so was interested on your video when you decided not to flipflop and push on Good for you.
how easy was it to navigate in the snow and follow the trail or find a trail.
I am only on episode 10 so more to watch but i have to ask i have brought show shoes and plan to post them to Charma. How often did you use, are they useful or just dead weight ?
    Happy hikes snailtrainer

Hello! Sorry to hear you had to put it off, but hopefully you can get to it soon! The snow (and trail in general) required some navigation and maps. The app “Guthook” is EXCELLENT for this using gps and downloading maps. I also used “Ley maps” on the app avenza. Cheers!

@@snailtrainersadventures oh sorry I forgot to answer that one. To be honest, I didn’t really use them all that much. A handful of times maybe, but those times were key! They kept me from Postholing to the hips for a few miles here and there. So, I’m happy I carried them, but they did often feel like dead weight. My pack was just extra heavy for the really snowy sections. Just had to accept it

Can’t wait to hear about the CWA from Monarch to Cottonwood! I’m heading that way 7/14 to finish what I started last year.
