Excellent firehouse. Thanks for the tour. The CSL Officer is a great concept. A lot of the departments in my area incorporate this important need into their PIO role. A definite necessity. Be careful and stay safe.
From an Australian looking at this I Am Humbled by the Greatness of the Firefighters who like here in Australia give their all to Save Life And Limb without trying to lose Theirs. What else can you say. I was on Holiday in the United States once and saw first hand a City Station Call Out to a Large (to that which we call a Bushfire) with Multiple Units, Water Tankers and A Semi with Bulldozer, This was an Awesome sight. Calfire were also Flying that day. We of the General Public sometimes forget the effort by both Firefighters on the Ground and in the Air. When we all sit back and think about it these People are the Heart and Soul of that we can Depend on in an Emergency. Structure Fires, Storms, Bushfires, Vehicle Accidents, What horrible scenes these People are at times met with and what a Great Job They Do. To the Men and Women of the United States Firefighting Fraternity we Thankyou Whole Heartedly for your Service. Without it we would all be Very Unfortunate. Regards
Good video but hopefully you got rid of the morons at the top of the chain that disciplined Maj. Corey Britt for being an awesome example to firefighters!
We have thirty-eight fire stations in OKC and Fire Station 1 is the only station with a fire pole. The fire pole has been phased out of a few departments, but there are still many fire poles in service.
I visited Station 1 in 2017 and the firemen treated me as if I was one of them. A truly great group of men and women.
I'm so impressed! We live across the street from your dad, Dennis! He's a great friend! What a nice tour of your facility! ❤

FIRE STATION 1 - THE BIG HOUSE | OKCFD STATION TOURS OKLAHOMA CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT
Why does some of the bunker gear have yellow reflective striping and some have orange??
The yellow reflective striping is on our structural firefighting gear and the orange reflective striping is on our grass gear.
This is really cool. Didn’t show the where you wash your clothes 🤣
Meanwhile my department is about to build a new main station with one big bedroom because...tradition🤦🏻♂
I feel like a lot of cigars should/have been smoked on that roof.
Good video but hopefully you got rid of the morons at the top of the chain that disciplined Maj. Corey Britt for being an awesome example to firefighters!
Kinda of sad that the Is italian chief needs a driver
How do you know he's Italian?
I thought slide poles were gone due to insurance purposes

@@okcfd oh okay, makes sense, yeah I know departments across the US and trying to get away from those poles.
Your guy’s area code is 316, my area code is 216! Thats cool
Oklahoma is 918, 405 and 580. Not 316.
You missed half of the garage
