The Shannon sisters, you never notice how perfect they are because they're always so much fun! But watching Winnie Horan, for fuxsake, Heaven has got to be where can watch her forever!
Interestingly…these are Scottish tunes, played in Ireland by Irish musicians! Lol. The Barrowburn reel, Lexi MacAskill, The Trip to Windsor, and Fionnleadh Mac Dhiomhnaill (I think that’s the spelling, Finlay MacDonald)
Her music and smile are so engaging. If I see her name on a video or recording I'l watch/listen to it. If her music were to be described in meteorological terms it surely would be thunder and lightning.
Barrowburn reel. Followed by the pipe reel Lexy MacAskill’s, Trip to Windsor, and ending in Finlay MacDonald (or Fionnleadh Mac Dhiomnaill, I’ve no clue lol)
i wanted to adopt a cat like i did in asia but the cat here has to have several gscs and a health certificate. my cats in asia cost nothing, were glad to have a home and lived free and happy. this country is ruled by nannny. freedom my ancestors fought for? where has it gone?
I believe the two in the middle have them. And why do they need them? That’s a personal preference. Shoulder tests weren’t around for Paganini, I don’t think.., or in the 1500s for example. Neither were chin rests! Personally, I’ve been playing a carbon fiber fiddle lately, and despite the lighter material, it’s actually much heavier than a wooden violin, I need a shoulder rest, but again, that’s a personal need or choice… Also Winnie Horan, in the black dress on the left, grew up playing Irish fiddle cause of her family, but she also is highly classically trained, so I’m sure she’s utilized a shoulder rest in the past. But now doesn’t care. Her classical training is fused perfectly with her Irish playing. So I don’t think she needs a shoulder rest at all. Her bow hand has been criticized as well, for how high she holds it.. but again, her technique is so strong and her training is so in-depth, she can do whatever she wants... Sharon on the right, well she hardly plays the fiddle, so I don’t think she cares about a shoulder rest.
Brilliant playing and the stuff of legends. Pity the Vid Ed was a bit of a knobhead who couldn't concentrate of the music and musicians. Lost interest in the video.
Sharon one of the wonders of the world amazing musician and also from Clare proud off her

Ma in Irlanda il violino lo imparano per osmosi? ce l'hanno come ability di default appena nascono!
Has the one on the right forgotten to put her frock on.!? 😂😂

If I am not mistaken, the first tune is one by Addie Harper Senior????(pol Harrow Burn or like that)
And the 2nd Scottish tune here....A Trip To Windsor.
Barrowburn reel. Followed by the pipe reel Lexy MacAskill’s, Trip to Windsor, and ending in Finlay MacDonald (or Fionnleadh Mac Dhiomnaill, I’ve no clue lol)

4 people that NEED shoulder rests
