Thank u so much for this video!! Do want to watch wicked again but am unable to spend a lot of money so i am considering getting tickets for the £20 seats as already seen the show twice and am a lot more interested in the music than the what is going on on stage.
So helpful! I love these end seats. Totally agree with being in the stalls over the circle. Such a massive auditorium. One time I notice that the day seats hadn’t sold out and very last minute, they posted front row seats on the website. Managed to bag a ticket on the cheap without having to queue. Only ever seen this happen once and then never again!
They do this whenever dayseats haven't sold (usually mid week etc) but recently they have started putting them online full price! So they're around £70 instead of £30, so you now have to go in person to get the cheap prices!
So glad you enjoyed this Christopher! Yes they used to put the dayseats back on at the dayseat price, now it has changed and if the dayseats go online they go up at a higher price but I would presume if you bought them in person they'd still be at the cheaper price... I'm going to ask about that next time I'm there!
Rukaya Cesar oh cool. Let me know how you get on. Doesn’t make sense that they would leave empty seats! Surely flogging then cheap is better than leaving an emptier auditorium. Start a campaign! Lol
7:04 I've Been To See Stephen Schwartz's Wicked The Broadway Musical At London's Wonderful Apollo Victoria Theatre In London's West End In London In England In The United Kingdom 3 Times. First One Is September 10th 2014 Just After New York. Second One Is A Easter Special Back In April 2018 Just After Tokyo In Japan And Third One Is I've Saw This Show On February 13th 2022 This Year As A Valentine's Day Special And It Was Super Awesome And It Was The Longest Running West End Musical Ever Made In West End History And Broadway History And It Was A Spinoff To The Wizard Of Oz In 1939. Thanks Mate. X
I love the way Alice chucks herself off the bed during popular..
I more often than not day seat now... but if I have to book in advance for any reason I try and get D11 or D12 on the righthand side! You hardly miss anything it all!
It's great isn't it! Especially now it's getting colder and that makes dayseating even harder 😬
@@RukayaCesar I got lucky where I got day seats for both times both yesterday and Wednesday night... And I went like 2 pm ish
Such a great video, Thank you for making these and others like it! I love your channel!!
Thank you so much!! 😄
Please do a series of buying the cheapest seats and give reviews ❤️🤗
That's the plan! What shows would you like to see covered?
Rukaya Cesar Ooooooo I'd like to see Matilda, Motown and Deffo Kinky Boots.
I got tickets to go see wicked for the very first time for Christmas and I'm at the very front of the dress circle right in the centre (A22 and A23)!
Eeeee how fantastic!! Have an amazing time! 💚💖
Please do cheapest seats at Matilda! I love the show so much but I am slightly hesitant to get really cheap seats as I don't want the view to spoil my experience💓
Maddy Bowers Omg yes please do matilda!!
I've sat in the really cheap day seats before and I mean you can't really expect a great view for 5£ but to me, it would have been totally worth it to spend a little more as we didn't get to see everything. The rails were right in our eyesight.
Yep I'll do dayseats and also the cheapest seat you can book online, that one is already on the list 😄
Currently buys tickets for my partner, never been myself and found this very helpful for picking seats. Thanks for the great vid!
In America we don't have Wicked Day because the anniversary of the Broadway production is the day before so everyone just celebrates then.
If I was going to see a wicked musical show, I will go and sit main aisle right by the stage
Is it just me or if you listen in the background sometimes you can hear defying gravity
I wanna tour the theatre. I m a fan of Starlight Express. That's where that debut.
Thank You for this video! I saw Wicked 3 weeks ago when I was in London from the middle of row J and planning to see Sophie & Alice their last peformance? How does Day seating work and do you recommend for a last performance or can I better book at the Site?
No worries, glad this helped! At a cast change you can dayseat but it's likely very busy, and they usually let you buy only one ticket per person rather than two! If you aren't able to comfortably dayseat I would recommend booking :)
Alice did fall off the bed at press night aha, she always does it :)
Very helpful vlog, thank you! I try to see Wicked once a year and, as I am a stalls person, I always go for a seat in Row E, middle, as I think they offer the perfect view for this show and take me right into the action. Maybe I'll try the 30£ ones on the right hand side in Row E next time ;-).
Thank you as always for watching Michael! Glad you enjoyed 😊 Ooo gotta love the centre stalls seats, but yes I don't think you'd be displeased with the right-hand side seats, just get one as far in as you can and a little bit further back (Row G area is good, from memory) and it's a fab view!
Perfect, thank you! :-)
Hey just wondering how would you know who’s gonna be playing on a certain dates? Do you know any website links for this?
Love the idea of this series! This video gives me lots more reasons to go see Wicked more often! I’m so excited for this series!
Yay thanks James!! Are there any other shows you'd love for me to cover in this format? 😄
Book Of Mormon would be a great one for this series! As the show is a very expensive show to see, and I’ve always been curious about how good the “cheap seats” are 😁
It was like 27 pounds cheapest tickets and were at very back but that was all we could afford
British Theatre have a great upgrade offer at the moment for Wicked if booked by 20th March for dates up to end of May and I'm finally getting to see Alice on Friday, I'm so excited!!! Can anyone tell me if she is as good on a Friday evening as she is, or so I'm told on a Saturday evening? Thanks
Oo that's great, thanks for sharing!! Alice is consistently great from what I've heard so you needn't worry 😊
Falling off the bed in Popular could be a new thing for all Elphabas in the UK! I just went to see the UK tour of Wicked in Edinburgh and the Elphie there was Amy Ross, and she fell off the bed too at the "toss toss" bit! 💗
Yes they've had that in the show for a long time now, I think it started around 2010? I could be wrong but it's been part of the show since I started seeing it in 2012 😄
Hi, with the wicked show there is two different times for most days on the website, does that mean part one and part two or does it mean that there are just two different times for the whole performance? If anyone knows, please let me know x
They do 2 performances on Wednesday and Saturday (sometimes on Thursday too in the school holidays) but it's exactly the same show, just at a different time! It's not like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child where each part is a separate show x
Rukaya Cesar thank you so much for the quick reply, I think after booking tickets for Harry Potter and the cursed child I thought that they would be in two parts ⚡️I’m thinking about going to see wicked as I’ve heard so many amazing things about it and the songs/music is incredible!!! 💚💚
I think you should go and see SIX!
I’m going to watch it on the 1st November for the first time tickets all booked any ideas on where best to eat
Hello Rukaya, sorry for not commenting in ages I hope you are doing ok? I am looking to book a cheap stalls seat left hand side as you look at the stage and was just wondering if I was able to on the day swap it for a day seat and pay the difference? As I don't know if I can day seat until closer to the time? Thank you.
Hi Charlotte! No worries I hope life is good for you 😄 I don't believe you'd be able to swap to a dayseat but it might be worth giving the box office a ring and asking them? That's what I would do! 😊
Thank you so much for the quick reply I really appreciate it. Have a lovely rest of your day.
Hi, is this the apollo victoria theatre?
Hi :) i know i'm a bit late but i'm going to London in September and i want to go see Wicked for the first time. Since I'm also going to see Hamilton I can't afford the better seats. Would you recommend the seats in the dress circle or the ones in the front?
Hey, have a great trip!! I'd say be as central and close as you can afford, though saying that the seats to the sides of the stalls generally are still very good, and if you do go for the side stalls seats I'd actually recommend going a tad further back just because that way the set won't be as much of a restriction on the sides if that makes sense!
Rukaya Cesar Thank you so much:)
Alot of theatres have removed the binoculars now
Hi, any thoughts on Lucie Jones? I have seen the show 20+ time since it began, but having heard and seen some clips of Lucy, i was a bit disappointed, singing was average and acting poor. Maybe she has grown into the role, but i would appreciate your opinion, thanks,Ian.😊
For this series. What show are you thinking of doing next.
I have the next show booked but I'll keep it a secret for now 😏 That video should be up at the end of this month though! What shows would you like me to cover? 😊
Rukaya Cesar. Matilda, 42nd street, Mamma Mia and school of rock. I have a long list but they're the main ones. I like this series a lot. When is you next curtain up?
Oooh I agree on Mamma Mia! I've actually sat 4 different places there all but one in the cheaper spectrum so I have an idea, but it's a tricky one there!
Kealan Morton
I've got a question about day seating. Are they releasing tickets for the Saturday matinee and the evening show or just for the matinee? And what time would you recommend to get there to queue up on a Saturday? I'm really afraid, that I'm going to fly to London to see Wicked and then end up not having a ticket
Hi Verena. Hope this isn't too late. What time of year are you going? Summer and holiday times for central seats 6-6.30am I'd say. Weekdays and winter (not holiday time) between 6.30 and 8 I'd say. Depends if you're fussed about bang on Central seats or not. If not, 7am is a safe bet!!
Hi and thank you so much 🙈 I'm going this June and I'll try to get tickets for the Saturday matinee on June 30th
If you qeue up on the day you get front row seats for 29.50 this would mean standin out the theatre from 8 or 8.30 to get a place
I know, most of my Wicked visits have been with dayseats but the idea of this is tickets anyone could book, not just those who are able to go to the theatre on the day in the morning 😊
Are stalls row w good I’m seeing it on Wednesday
Iv got seats for a performance this coming month , e40 I knew it was a restriction view seat now I'm worried I won't see a thing :(
How was it?
How was it?
Wouldn’t cheapest seat be at the very back of the mezzanine?
Yes you have cheap seats at the back too but it's such a big theatre I find the ones at the side of the stalls are better 😊
Ohhh love this idea for a series!
Thank you, so glad you're excited for this! I really want to see School of Rock again soon so it'll go on the list! 🤘🏼 xxx
Have you ever stay in the rear stalls bit? Ive booked Row Z and im scared it gonna be a million miles away lol!
I love the wicked show the wizard is just way to loud
