6:03 Pac-Man has the best grab in the game because it’s the only one that can’t be spot dodged. It doesn’t have the longest range and it’s pretty slow, but it lingers too long for spot dodge to save you from it.

It's kinda funny that Ultimate tether grabs are inarguably the best they've been in the series, probably even better than normal grabs, and yet ZSS and Min-Min got stuck with the ONLY bad ones

Yeah, in a game where standing grab is shit, tethers have gained power. But if we're talking bad grabs, Villiger and Isabelle are slow, laggy, and short ranges.

Due to how knockback physics work, doubling the launch rate quadruples the launch distance.
It's kind of funny seeing the most random moves that are just utter menaces with 2.0 launch rate. The two I remember distinctly are Ness's forward throw and Luigi Cyclone.

Day 1 of asking: Video idea: so it’s a 1v3 but one of there GFS pull them all out and tell them if they’re the secret agent that actually want to help the 1 so it’s a secret 2v2 but people don’t know who the 2nd person is so they all have to be scared including the 1 cause they don’t know who the spy is either, the ways to win are for the normals to kill the 1, and the way to win for the spy and the 1 is to kill the others, but if the 1 kills the spy the 1 loses, also if the person announces they’re the spy they lose

i think that by 1.9x kb it means PLUS 1.9x meaning it was really more like 3x, cause theres no fkn way those things were killing when they were.
OR
it was glitching (or maybe intentional) and multiplied the percent, and the knockback from that percent, doubling what the actual number would be, this would make more sense as to why 1x is normal
Maybe it just affected the base knockback and the knockback scaling making the actual increase per move be more than 2x. Or is that what you meant with the second part

I know this is going to sound disgusting but smash ultimate was my second game and I didn't have internet when I got the game, this was before I was a super sweat, but I used to grind 2x knockback and it wasn't until a friend of mine came over and was shocked that I played like that. I play with a normal ruleset now and I host tournaments for a club that I'm in.

Yeah, in Ultimate, it's been actually coded to match the entire animation properly, and is legitimately one of the best grabs in the game now
