I believe you are missing a chain meant to drag behind the disk to cover up the seeds. The kick stand will not cover them properly. Good review, but you need that chain.
Thank you for the review. How are the gears holding up? Kind of disappointing they are made of plastic. I am looking for something I can pass down to my child, and that will stand the test of time. For the price I wish they wouldn’t have used plastic for the gears.

Did planter space the seeds equidistant at the spacing you desired? And cover them properly too? Dennis

why did you remove the chain that’s meant to connect ver the seeds?
Does it have a fertilizer attachment? I am stumped on how to side dress my garden with something besides my hand
